Default Tool for removal of crank pulley?

I need some help with installing my underdrive pulley. Does anyone have the tool to remove the crank pulley? I'm not trying shred my clutch doing it with just a socket. Can anyone help?

AFAIK, the tool to remove a crank pully *is* a big-ass socket and breaker bar. That's how I did mine. If that doesn't work, chances are your gonna need to bring it to a shop w/ a torch to get it off.

And what's gonna happen to your clutch?

Yes, I'll fix it for you. Again.

Last time I used a chain wrench (don't clamp it down too tight - it holds quite well). Scott's way should work, I think.

wierd just did mine the other day too. 22mm 1/4 drive 2 foot breaker bar and a roomate on the brakes. broke that bastard loose no problem.

My only question is how the hell to measure 9-11 mm of play @ 22lbs of force. i think my belts are too tight cause im neurotic like that

But Kevin's the perfect "tool" for crank pulley removals!

(...man, why did it take so long for someone to make that joke?!)

Seriously I'm not sure that the whole job took five minutes. You'd say we're nucking fut's for using the starter, the breaker bar, and the car frame. Wall'la. Bang, boom, and chink. we had a limp breaker bar with a loose crank bolt on the end. Thanks again Phil for the help. Kevin, thanks for the offer. Sleep in extra long tomorrow.
