It really does suck that we don't use real names on this board. Facebook does it so why shouldn't we? I'm always asking people if they're on SECCS and they look at me like :?: |
So when is the GSR night Race?

I was driving in the same run group as Tu, and riding with other people "coaching" in between my runs... So yeah, I wasn't stationary very long...

Damn, does anyone know what the fastest time that Forester was running, I didn't see a Forester anywhere on the list?
|
He's on all 3 lists for Event number 5. He drove his Evo on Sunday.

Wish I could have been there :(
Car is having issues right now, found out one of my spring perches came loose and worked its way all the way to the top of the shock. Its now cross threaded I believe, wont come down. Need to take the whole thing apart. I have a new perch coming in from KW but not sure if it will be here in time for next weekend. Worst part is it threw off my alignment bigtime, and one of my RE-01R's now has some serious toe damage. Its corded on the inside badly. There goes that set of tires :( Need to get an alignment and my race tires mounted, anyone know if CnC is back up and running? |
I don't know if C&C is back up and running yet, but I imagine so. Unfortunately Rusty is no longer working there, though. He moved out of state. Really sorry to hear about all the issues. My only suggestion is to go to Nissan and request that Cory work on the car. He has experience doing alignments on cars with coilovers. Maybe shoot him a PM first though.

Sounds like a plan, thats what I was thinking too. My new spring perch came in today, so heading to sears to go take a look at cordless impacts hehe.

Note I did not point to the cheaper one.
Mine has done great for years and has been used to break loose AXLE nuts! The NiCd batteries are failing and I need a new pack, but that is to be expected. Using anything that absorbs shock like extension is bad on any corded or cordless electric because they use different, shorter throw hammer mechanism than air tools. All that impact gets eaten up by any slop/play from the gun to the hex. In some cases, you have to help the socket with your hand. You are not actually loosening the bolt/nut, just keeping the socket tight on the forward edge of the hex. DK did burn one up, but she never lubricated it and the gearbox failed. |
I was planning on getting the one Dean recommended, I even looked them up at harbor freight before you guys posted. I stopped at Sears first to see if they had any sales and got talked into this:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...+impact+wrench They gave me 40 off, so I only paid 199. 20v lithium ion with 300ft lb! Discount put my wheels on with the impact last, and I just had NO problem spinning them off with this bad boy. |
Looks like a nice gun.

Sweet. 2 Year warranty too. :)
