I put my snow tires on about a month ago, right when the temperatures really started dipping at night.

This.

Pretty sure mine went on in October. Last year I waited until it was cold and rainy before changing them, and ended up sitting in a puddle in my driveway raising my suspension to clear the snow tires. This year, I did it on a warm sunny day.

FIXED :)

And car stays in the garage with room to work around it, so not a bad job on a wet day unlike Scott's story.

My wife's car actually spent the whole summer on Blizzaks, and I put snows on the wagon in October.

Kevin M 2012-12-17 11:02 AM

Oh, and the race car has been sitting on snow tires for 2 years now.

khail19 2012-12-17 11:03 AM

I put mine on Friday night.

k-dogg39 2012-12-17 12:06 PM

I have had mine on since that first storm in October up here.

As Nick did a month ago, I have now assured that there will be no snow on the valley floor for the next 30 days. :)

Audi Has Winters on...

My kids are disappointed in you, Dean. That's not very Santa-like of you.

In Soviet Russia, Snow tires put on you!

The MINI needs its all seasons put on, but I'm so lazy that I've just been driving the Taco each day.

I've had my snow tires on for 6 months. :(

SoyKraut 2012-12-21 02:13 AM

Going to be driving back and forth from Reno to Truckee for the next few weeks straight. Studded snow tires are officially on. This thread should read: Is it a snow tire day? A snow tire and shovel day? Or a snow tire, shovel and tow strap day? Hopefully all of the above! Bring the snow!

Dude, just came back from UT and they are covered in downtown Salt Lake City. You almost require snow tires ha.
