Sweet lap Sperry.

bemani 2006-01-25 09:28 AM

Ok, let's go for something easy as everyone complains about the handling and what not.
Tsukuba dry track, Honda 04 CIVIC Type R. You guys might have it as an 03 car. And don't take the Integra/RSX Type R out by mistake ...

bxracer69 2006-01-25 09:42 AM

can we get something a little faster than the civic... i always feel like im driving in slow motion

JonnydaJibba 2006-01-25 10:03 AM

Two minute lap times on Tsukuba! Haha, jk I don't really care. Since driving that Renault I have learned to appreciate how different cars behave. That one was actually fun. But when a car is that slow, it's not too hard to have a perfect line.

I'm down! The Civic's not incredibly slow, and Tsukuba's a pretty short track, so it's not like having to walk around Grand Valley or anything.

And like JdJ said, you'er going to have to be very precise (especially w/ the braking weight transfer) to put the car exactly on the track where it needs to be to get a winning lap time. I think a lot of us will be within a second of the winning time, but it's going to be tough fighting for those last few tenths.

JonnydaJibba 2006-01-25 10:32 AM

We'll have our own Best Motoring contest.

bemani 2006-01-25 10:38 AM

under under under!

Forgotten 2006-01-25 03:34 PM

Tried about 10 laps in between calc problems.
105.504
There is a lot left, that last sweeper is really hard and I have no idea how to go about taking it.

bemani 2006-01-25 06:37 PM

1'04.869 from me after 15 laps.

JonnydaJibba 2006-01-25 09:36 PM

105.8 =/ Are we using the EP?

bemani 2006-01-25 10:05 PM

yep

cody 2006-01-26 08:28 AM

What's EP?

JonnydaJibba 2006-01-26 08:49 AM

Part of the chassis code for this. One of my favorite cars I think. Mostly because it doesn't really look like a Civic.

That thing looks like a focus.

JonnydaJibba 2006-01-27 08:05 AM

I like it.

I didnt say I didnt like it, I said it looks like a Focus...I drove a 2005 at Sims that was quick as hell, not like my subaru, but the vtec is no slouch.

cody 2006-01-29 11:54 PM

Stupid FWD pisses me off.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time w/ the crazy transitions from oversteer to understeer. If you overdrive the car a bit, it actually turns pretty good. But if you try to be really smooth and keep the momentum up, the car pushes a lot on exit!

I still haven't gotten below Bemani's time, though I'm close.

JonnydaJibba 2006-01-30 08:07 AM

Wheelspin is a biatch, but I don't really like using TCM. It's weird how easily you can get the car sideways. Still not sub 1.05s yet.

bemani 2006-01-30 09:13 AM

My new time is 1'04.785.

That's a pretty good lap. I think I can catch you once I figure out which turns are faster to drive agressively and which turns are faster to drive smoothly. Oh, and I'll need to get lucky a bit.

bemani 2006-01-30 07:27 PM

1'04.754

I can get into the low .6s, I can't see where I can get more time than that.
