Dean, I'm just waiting for my membership to go thru for ACNA. So I can register with my member #.

Can I send in the registration without my ACNA #? It should be okay right? I have a pending account #. I just want to get the registration all taken care of.

Do you have a phone # handy for Holiday Inn?

Thanks
Matt

Cool Matt...

You should be able to register without the ACNA number. Worst case, they will call you. Just put in pending or something in the member # column.

Make sure you enter 0 track experience, or you will likely get rejected.

Internet probably has the best rates:

I think you guys found a Motel 6 in Marina, but that is a bit further away. The Embasy is the center of the action, and the HIE is right next door.

I'm headed down probably Friday about 10:00 so I can help out with Tech etc. We can caravan if you want to go that early...

That sounds about right, caravan would be great...

Scott may be going now  I gave him a guilt trip

Who wants to loan me a video camera? I got a mount, just need a camera. (Assuming I can get the time off work to go).

dknv 2004-01-27 08:37 AM

Well, I have a camera. The transfer software for it only works on Win XP though, so you'd have to bring a copy of XP for me to install on one of our computers so I could make the video files.

Holy crap, I thought I burned you an XP disk like 10 months ago! Did that not happen?!

AtomicLabMonkey 2004-01-27 09:13 AM

Nope.

Stage 2: COMPLETE

I registered online to join Audi Club, and faxed off my Seca registration info!

It is now "on" more than it has ever been before.

Very cool.

Cameras must have Hard Mounts, as well as a safety strap. No hand helds, or bungies allowed!

Well, my mount passes several AutoX tech inspections... it's bolted to the passenger headrest. I use the camera's strap to tie it to the mount... is that "saftey strap"-ish enough?

AtomicLabMonkey 2004-01-27 11:17 AM

Didn't you have some pictures of your camera mount somewhere? Dean could look at them and see if it's okay.

That should be fine...

Can I run some laps with it?

Sure, but call up the Audi Club and get Matt and I moved from the waiting list to actual participants. :x

Looks like we dallied too long, and the event is full. I guess I'm #5 in line according to the guy that called me. :( He said I'd get a call tonight if anything opened up.

MattR 2004-01-27 02:28 PM

I just recieved what looks to be a registration confirmation. Audi Club has some confusing ass documents... But looks like I'm in as best I can tell.

Matt

Dean 2004-01-27 02:37 PM

I already sent an email to the event master, but make no promises.

Scott, did you put down 0/0 for events and track experience? If not, that is why you were rejected. Only 0/0 and Instructor spaces remained as of last week.

STIwish 2004-01-27 03:02 PM

Dude, Pahrump would be tight, as my family actually owns several acres of land out there... we could do some mad tight rally-x :)

Yep, all zeros. And I even mentioned it to the guy on the phone, telling him I was told there were only instructor and novice slots open.

Matt

What time did you fax your application? I had mine in at 9:43 am, so if you sent yours after me and got in, them I'm very confused. 'Course, I'd rather you go than me, since I'm so broke, but if one of us goes, is it really that much of a hardship for both of us?

MattR 2004-01-27 04:06 PM

I faxed mine in at 8:43 AM. Boo--Yah!! I hope that wasn't the last person. We'll see.

Hmm.. when I asked about you getting in, I was told you we're in either. Man, I'm gonna be soooo depressed this weekend. :(

MattR 2004-01-27 04:28 PM

I must not be in, I don't know, I emailed them back to clarify what the form they sent me meant....I'm not convinced I'm going yet either.

Matt

C'mon Dean! Pull some strings!! ;)
