MikeSTI 2004-04-29 09:58 AM

well I thought that would be a "Yes" or "No" answer but ok

if not we still have time to call today, and try to get things worked out or we might all have to hang out by the front door   8)

Screw 'em. If mall security want's to come kick us out, let 'em try. The way I look at it, we're trying to bring our business to the mall. One of the mall's tennets has offered us their restaurant for our meetings. Part of our requirements is that we be able to meet our in the parking lot. If mall security has an issue with that, they need to have the owners of Bullys come out and ask us to leave, since they're the ones that offered their location to us for our club.

This shouldn't be an issue between us and mall security, it's an issue between Bully's and mall security. If mall security want's us gone, they need to tell Bully's not to offer us a meeting place for our club. Until then, we're only doing what we've been authorized to do. It's one thing if we were causing trouble, or racing around the lot, but all we're doing is standing outside chatting in an un-populated corner of the parking lot.

So, if security comes out to talk to us, we need to just tell 'em, "We've been authorized by Bully's that we can use this spot for our meetings. If Bully's can't make that authorization, you need to take it up with them." I don't want to be a dick and get Bully's in trouble with their landlords, but I'm getting tired of this situation not being solved. It's been what, 4 meets, and we're still having issues? If it's not taken care of before tonight, I say we tell security to piss off and deal w/ Bully's, not us, or we leave the location and never come back.

I agree with Scott, but didn't Bully's ask us as a club to do something? If so, and we have not done so, then we are the ones who have dropped the ball.

Maybe next week we go in search of a new summer spot.

My criteria would be:

Space to park and hang out that is safe and accesible.
Decent food and drinks with decent prices.
Ability to watch DVD or VHS on at least one decent size TV
Speed Channel

Anythig else?

Well I called the Spiro's Sports Bar and Grill and they said they still do the Kareoke(sp) thing on thursday nights. We could call the manager and ask him if it is still worth it to do if you could have 12-20 more people each thursday eating food and drinks instead of people just goofing around on stage.

Bully's manager asked Matt to type up a letter of sorts before last meet, whick Matt did and gave it to Bully's last week. That's why I'm saying this issue needs to be resolved *tonight*. As far as I'm concerned, we're in the clear, and this issue is resolved. If the word hasn't been passed on to the secuirty guards, then it shouldn't be our problem. With the weather getting nice and the daylight stretching out, I'm certainly not going to rush inside right away, or leave immediately after we eat.

It's more like: "Freeze people standing around not causing any problems just talking while I ignore the hooligans in the SUV tearing ass around the parking lot looking for cars to break into and parking in handicapped spots while scoping the 15 Subarus parked out by themselves!"

My guess is the security guard would call the real police on a trespassing charge. Then we'd get to deal w/ the cops explaining to him who we are and who gave us permission to be there. The cop would end up telling us to go inside or leave the premises, but I doubt we'd get tickets for trespassing.

More than likely, the cop would be pissed about having to come out to deal with such a lame situation... but you can't really blame the security guard, since he's is just doing his job.... his boss has told him not to let people loiter in the lot, and therefore he's gotta enforce the rule until he hears otherwise.

I'm just pissed this issue isn't resolved yet one way or the other. I feel like Bully's is dragging their feet because they want us to come every week, but can't actually get permission for us to hang out in the lot... by now we really should know one way or another.

I wish 4th Turn would just re-open. :x
