I'm not sure I want to take a drive all the way up Rose (or Gieger for that matter) at dusk, with 15 other cars. Sounds like asking for trouble... no matter how "calm" we intend it to be.

<-- likes to keep "group drives" to under 4 cars ever since the EVO incident.

I've heard that one before...seriously though, I don't think we'll have any issues, I trust this group for the most part...

I also consider this, I also know how I drive. If someone wants to get aggressive, I pull over and let them go. I have nothing to prove to anyone.

:)

Sweetness....I will be late to the meet tonight, not that anyone cares, but I will be there by 8 PM, I would like to go for a drive tonight though, if everyone is down. See ya then.

Okay, assuming we actually observe all traffic laws and don't get in a rush to get where we're going, I don't see where the real risk is. That means no passing, no hotdogging, and no speeding. Nobody is going to get lost. The idea was, I thought, just to go to somewhere with a great view for some group photos.Anybody that can't get there without pushing hard can just leave before the main group.

Basically, let's consider this a "caravan" to the top rather than a "group drive." Make sense to everyone?

werd. I don't plan on pushing it at all...especially since I still have a few things I need to do for the 30k...(sparks, fuel filter, pvc(?) valve).

Mt Rose & the top doesn't seem like a long drive to me. I think the Mt. Rose parking lot isn't even all the way to the top, altho going to the summit could also afford some nice lake views. I recently made that drive, and I think it took me 20 minutes from the fwy to where I was going.

Before taking off, we s/b reminding each other to keep our eyes up. 3 or 4 hairpin 20mph turns, right?

I'm in.
