I eventually plan on going to a stiffer setup on the springs and shocks, but I'm going to do it when the 5-speed goes in, since I'll have to compensate for the loss of about 200lbs off the front end of the car.

I think it's a thicker backpad, but I've never seen them in person so I really don't know.

Discount has a couple of 17X7 38mm offset rims, but nothing 8" with that bolt pattern. Same story at Tirerack, no 8" wide, 38mm is the lowest offset in 17 X 7.5. Looks like you need a 5 lug conversion!
