Yeah, that's an awesome price. You have a coupon, or did you bring kneepads, or what? :p

Post pics y0! Or bring it down for the meet tomorrow. :)

No coupon, but I did plug SECCS ("see that sticker?") and said that several of the group highly recommended his work and that he would likely see more of us. When I asked for the total, he said "what price did I quote?", and I said "no quote, I was told you were the right one to do the job --- how much?" That's pretty much how that went.

Can't make the meet (again), but I'll get pics going as soon as I wash the sucker.

No, just a tempting idea considering the opportunities down there with real eastate, jobs, chicks, etc...

I think I'm staying put for now.

Thomas just did my windows, and so far so good. I just called the other day, and I was lucky enough to get a cancellation that I could slide right in to immediately.

No pics yet, hopefully soon, but so far the quality looks good. It still has to dry for a couple of days. I'll hopefully take some pics in the next few days.

There was no 20% or 25% like I was hoping. I ended up with 15% all around. Its quite dark at night. I like it :p

MattR 2005-05-01 08:37 AM

Wow, 15%! You're a thug!

Awww thomas wont do SVXi...so just to clerify before I call trimline what are the legal limits on the front windows?

Nick Koan 2005-05-24 12:45 PM

35% front is the darkest they will go (the legal limit).

Duckie 2005-05-24 12:47 PM

even for the front door windows?

Nick Koan 2005-05-24 12:51 PM

Yup. Front door windows (whether they roll down or not) can't be lower then 35%

sperry 2005-05-24 01:05 PM

Crap, I was just about to call Tom about getting my SVX done....

Looks like I need to just get the material and give it a shot myself. I'm not paying Trimline $700 to tint my car.

... an SVX for my 1st attempt ever at tinting. I'm a retard.

so that the fuzz can see into your junk and find that stash that you've been saving for a "special" occasion. But really, It is for their protection.

Thats why everyone knows when you're pulled over, roll your windows down, and put your hands on the top of the wheel. And anytime you need to take your hands off, you tell the officer why you're doing it:

"I'm going to get my registration out of the glove box, officer."

"My license is in my wallet in my back pocket, officer."

You make their job a shitload easier when you let them know what you're doing. Remember, those guys don't know you, and have to treat every stop like the person's armed and pissed off.

Duckie 2005-05-24 01:09 PM

How about back windows and then the rear windshield(if thats what ya wanna call it)

I wish I actually knew about these laws =/

Front's are limited to 35%, windshield has a limit for how far down a strip can go, the rest of the windows are unregulated and can be tinfoil if you like... assuming you've got 2 side mirrors.

I can only imagine what Trimline would charge for a 9 window job, esp. when 4 of the windows have 4 complex edges instead of the normal 2.

...I bet when an SVX pulls up all the guys there get raging, mega-huge boners.
