Shouldn't this get stickied in place of the 2005 sched?

April will be here before you know it. Are you going to run Novice or something else? Did you ever get any wheels or tires?

Bob Danger 2006-03-09 11:06 AM

What's it going to cost to run in the Autox school on the 1st? Will it be the same as a regular track day 20 for members 30 for non-members.?

I'm not sure about the school, but this year regular days will be $25 for members and $35 for non members

What is the cost for RNP if you want to run AM for points and PM for no points?

I have a new RNP toy coming soon...

MattR 2006-03-09 02:06 PM

$10 US Dollars.

Can I guess?

Pat R. 2006-03-09 03:32 PM

You can try. The class has an "F" in it...

Sweet, I didn't know "PFR" was a class this season.

Pat R. 2006-03-09 04:06 PM

.. and some numbers? Cool!

cody 2006-03-09 04:29 PM

What's a Test and Tune?

What's a Club Trial? I think that's what I went to...just driving no competition?

The nomenclature has changed for this season. Here's the current naming scheme:

Autocross:
School - the annual n00b school to teach people what autocross is about
Test-n-Tune - a non-points event where runs are available for testing your car
Points Event - a normal regional event, points are awarded towards the regional championships
Divisional Event - a more involved event, points are awarded towards the regional championships and the divisional championship (we are not holding a Divisional this year)
National Tour Event - even more involved than a divisional, very tough competition, points are awarded towards the National Tour championship
Nationals - the week-long year end National Championship event held in Topeka

Trials:
PDX (Level 1) - Performance Driving Experience, i.e. a "track day" where the point is simply track time and instruction, no timing
Club Trial (Level 2) - A time trial event where instruction is available, think of it as a timed track day
Track Trial (Level 3) - A time trial event where competition is the focus
Hill Climb (Level 4) - Think "Pikes Peak"... this is the top level of SCCA time trials

You've done a PDX. We don't have any of those scheduled this season. We'll be running Club Trials w/ Track Trials available for some of the higher preped cars.

cody 2006-03-09 05:02 PM

Well mark me down for the Hill Climb!

dknv 2006-03-09 05:12 PM

mm, also in Autocross (now known also as Solo) is ProSolo - mirror courses with dragstrip start. These are national level events and a points series; closest to Reno would be Atwater in May.

As much as I'd love to see Pat in a Camaro...I'm guessing this car has no fenders.

Pat R. 2006-03-09 06:18 PM

Both correct, F125.
Was it the "F" or the "toy" that tipped you off?

MattR 2006-03-09 06:29 PM

Process of elimination for me. You are from wisconsin, but I can't see you with a "Wisconsin Waterfall" haircut, so no Camaro. A "Toy" wouldn't be an F-Mod car. So, F125 it is.

I think that is a good move man. Maybe you can start racing it on the track in lemmon valley once you get good.

Toy. How will you get both vehicles to Stead?

Pat R. 2006-03-09 06:43 PM

That's the plan: Wheel-to-wheel baby.

Help I'm blind :
So i looked in this thread, a few others, and on renoscca.com and i can't find the starting Time for the April 1st auto X Class . can someone kindly tell me at what time the classes start at ?

MikeK 2006-03-28 11:44 AM

Good question, I have a couple of guys at work asking the same thing. I'm sure someone will chime in with an answer.

On a mildly related note, weather.com was predicting sunshine and 60 degree temperatures for the weekend when I checked first thing this morning. I just checked again and they have changed their mind to rain every day. Could they be any less accurate?
