I almost forgot; on Saturday, Scott won PAX, beating 2 national level drivers in the process ... great job!
|
Yes!!! Great job everybody! And I'm still the winner.
Sorry, I'm a sucker for statistics. |

Holy Crap!!! My consistency is paying off I suppose. Scott's win on Saturday was insane! That winning run was a jaw dropper...good job |
And yesterday I beat Vick in the Mini!! 52.2xx FTW!!
|
And I get to keep my class title of "3 seconds behind bruspeed" for now. :D

SUCKED not being able to run the second half of Saturday, and all of my plans to make it out on Sunday got smashed by Mother's day. They said there were too many people for the second half of Saturday, so we Novices (Chris and I) were screwed!
Once I realised that I was driving with no ABS half way through my second run on Sat. I was able to regain control of the car and yank down a 100.2xx +1 on my last run. Sucks stabbing at the middle pedal expecting ABS and simply sliding out of the corner! |

I figured that. Just because I couldn't make it, it would be a perfect day!

How did I manage to pull that off?? Yippy. This is the most exciting thing I heard in a long time. |
Well at least you didn't get sun burned. So much for Dean's titanium + zinc SPF 45. although the tops of my shoulders and face (where i tried out his sun block) did burn much less then my back. Still burned though. (I applied spf 45 twice on saturday also) .
Great weekend !!! I really liked the courses, esp the 2 lap one saturday. I really liked the tight corners. I take them very poorly so i'm glad i got a chance to work on that. hopefully we run into some heavy braking lay outs this season (an other big lacking spot in my driving) |
For Sun screen to work, it should be applied 30 minutes before you go out in the sun, not an hour after you've been out in the sun... :P

I put my sun screen on two and half hours prior to sun exposure. Didn't get burned. Not bad for a red head who gets burned after 20 minutes in the sun.
|
Does anybody remember the website of the guy who was taking pictures on Saturday?
|
so i'm still bumed i didn't get to go bothdays. i did however manage to get a nice sunburn everywhere that is normally covered by a shirt, and not burned where my farmers tan is.
|
I had put on my own SPF 45 before i left tahoe, and then when i got to the site i used Deans 45 with Titanium + Zinc. (i belive the sun block i have may be expired ? i belive most sun blocks start to go bad after 1 year, or so says health.msn.com)
Sleaves definatly help! But now Brian feels good about his sun resistance! yes his website is www.fastwearz.com |
Oooh.. I may have to order one or two of those action pics of me! Looks awesome! You'd think I was going faster than I actually was...
