Why the change to one day for test and tune and school? Just curious if there will be ample shake down time and runs.

Seems like it just squeezes in more timed events. Last season had 16.

I really like the fact that there are two weekends potentially planned for august, as it's likely I'll miss the Squaw event again this year.

Looks like this may be the first AutoX for the 615s with some rain. It was a little damp last year once at Stead and I spun out. Should be interesting, between the drive down in the snow, rain and attempting not to look like a fool with a new region.

The idea is to give new people some instruction on day 1, then get them to learn the way an event is run on day two.

Is the schedule in the first post pretty solid at this point?

I agree. It needs to be browser readable. Save it as a PDF if you are really lazy...

 I spend like 6 hours yesterday reorganizing and rewriting the website... and this is just an interim page until Andy ever gets around to swapping the domain name over to my server where I have PHP and MySQL so I can run the dynamic site that I've spent *months* working on... and I'm busted as "lazy" because I don't spend $500 on Acrobat to convert the schedule document that Dave Deborde emailed me with instructions to post?

Sorry, but at 1am last night, I wanted to climb into bed w/ my GF, not dick around for another 10 minutes converting a document from Word to HTML or PDF, especially since I've already coded a events calender in PHP for the website that includes automatic listing of upcoming events, google maps for common locations, sorting by category, etc...

If you don't have Word, then I guess you can't come to any events. :P

Slacker! :P

The page cannot be found.

Ist this because the site is being moved?

The page is working for me right now... as far as I know, nothing is happening on the change over.

I need Andy to contact me about it I think. I've never transfered a domain name that I already didn't own. I think I can initiate the transfer myself, but I don't want to do it and have Andy suddenly get a transfer request out of the blue, so I'm hoping Matt or Carrie can give Andy the heads up and put us in contact.

I can't get at renoscca.com either.

But Matt updated the first post, so I'll survive. :P

Back on topic, nice, it works for me today. I like the new webpage, good job Scott.
Couple of questions -
Estimated date when the 2007 Solo schedule will be up and linked there? (I've told people to watch for the updated schedule to be published on renoscca.com.)
Do the links use the client's browser settings, as far as either going directly to the linked page; or is there an option to allow the link to open in a new browser page? (I know some people find that extra prompt annoying, though.)

Thanks!

p.s., Will you add a link for archived or historical content, i.e. the 2006 newsletters?

Joeyy 2007-03-03 09:51 AM

Question about points for 2007. From the news letter, it looks like max points is 10 and an uncontested win will also net you 10 points. Is this correct? And how the points get distributed after first should tighten up some classes.

sperry 2007-03-03 10:07 AM

Class points: 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 (10 for uncontested)
PAX points: 30,29,28,27,...,2 (1 for everyone else)
Novice points: 5 if you show up, bonus 5 if you're the fastest novice of the day

...that's the current proposal.

Joeyy 2007-03-08 04:01 PM

What is the ETA on run groups being finalized for 07. Not to be pushy but I'm just attempting to schedule some stuff around the events like morning verses afternoon stuff. Thanks

MattR 2007-03-08 05:24 PM

march 13th, they should be published. And leave me the hell alone.

Joeyy 2007-03-12 10:12 AM

April 15 is the points event? I'll be working on the 14 so no test&tune for me.

MattR 2007-03-12 10:41 AM

Yes
