Hahahaha.. yeah I tried that too, didn't work even though I put together a binder with all kinds of pictures, supporting evidence & a mathematical proof that the ticket was written up incorrectly. So I did online traffic school & went my merry way...

I believe he was fired for the wrong reason. They should have just said "Guddamn it Imus, you're just not funny anymore! Sorry." Actually I never really listened to him. Apparently he stopped being funny a long time ago.

That sucks! What do you have to do now to get it on the road?

IIRC, it means he has to fix it (or spend some minimum amount of money per year attempting to fix it), and get it smogged on a dyno instead of a plain old sniffer test for like the next 4 years or something after it's fixed.

I got pick pocketed today! I was playing soccor with some Nicaraguan kids and one of them snatched my flash light.

You used to be able to pay for a 'test' that didn't count for anything. You would use that to decide if you wanted to get an official check done and not risk getting labeled as a GP.

I know, they warned us about them. But I'm looking on the bright side, at least I've still got my wallet.

It's been in my sig on wrxfanatics ever since it happened... I always have to explain what it's from. I think it's a let down for people...kind of like when you show sombody the scar you got opening the refrigerator or something.

That's not a scar... they're called "stretch marks". Stop opening the fridge you fat ass. :P

That should be a magnet on Cody's car. Or better yet, he should get that cool total vinyl wrapping done.

Yeah. this is the place right down from Paul's, they don't do pretests, and honestly, with no fault codes, no smoke, and the car running beautifully with a cat in it, who would have thought it would be a GP, especially with a new motor?

Luckily, same shop is a gold shield station and can certify GP's, so I just need to come up a with a stock exhaust (I'm sure all the oil burned through my cat and accumulated in the old one is what failed me, sinc eit was for high HC's and nothing else, not the actual motor emisssions) and they can test it again.

Crossing my fingers.

MikeK 2007-04-13 03:55 PM

Good luck! If it doesn't work out you can always move to NV :)

Libila 2007-04-13 06:55 PM

I'm going through the pictures I took today and I think I found the little monster that took my flash light.
