Correct. I have a full 3/16" skidplate too, that butts up against it. Brushguard bolts to bumper, skid bolts to subframe, so I'm not actually locking the bumper together or screwing as much with crash structures.

And yep, Paul and I have the prototypes from Rally Innovations. It has light tabs on it as well, but I haven't decided on lights yet - I just like having something protecting the bumper.

That's because my car is in the grave right now. Posting a picture of it would be like carrying around a picture of an old ex-girlfriend.
"see, this is what I use to have"

Do you get hassled by the cops for not having a front plate??
I have tried to go plateless up front in the past, but it just seems to be like chumming for police for me.

100_Percent_Juice 2009-02-04 03:29 PM

I have gone years with several cars with no front plate and even on the occasions when I have been stopped, there has never been anything said.

Hopefully we get more snow this year. With Reno weather, probably April.

No offense intended, but those HDR photos just scream "look at me, I'm using HDR!" but the HDR adds nothing to the final result.

A good HDR image doesn't scream "I'm HDR"... HDR should just look a touch surrealistic, or it should be used just to make an otherwise impossible to photograph image possible. If you're goal is otherwise, just load up a regular image in Photoshop and drag the saturation slider around.

This is pushing it... looks like a video game... but at least it's well done over-done HDR:

None taken. I know exactly what you are talking about. They can easily be way too much. This was our first attempt at doing some as well, so not too bad. :)

You must be the lucky one.
I got a "fix it" front plate ticket while parked once!!
Another time, was pulled over just for the no plate, cop did a quick U-turn just to
get me for that one lone offense.
Maybe I will try my luck again.......and let you know how long it takes for me to get into trouble.

You should really post some yourself. Even with a broken leg, she's still your baby. :)
