Texting is handy for trying to get information back and forth around other things you have to do. You know, like driving or sitting in lecture at school, that sort of thing. :p

Texting is a way to obtain information from someone without the annoyance of physically talking to them.

cody 2010-02-01 12:18 PM

Texting is how those of you with QWERTY keyboards on your phone annoy those of us who don't.

Kevin M 2010-02-01 12:37 PM

I had a qwerty briefly. I'm actually faster with 10key.

100_Percent_Juice 2010-02-01 12:59 PM

I have my assistant type all my texts.

zpeed 2010-02-01 01:12 PM

I can't texts, take me forever. I'm too old for that :(

Nick Koan 2010-02-01 04:15 PM

I text by voice command.

iPhone does't have the telepathy app yet? Weak.

khail19 2010-02-01 09:49 PM

It takes my clumsy fingers 20 minutes to text what I can say in 5 seconds, so I just stick to using the phone for talking. When people text me and I can't answer in 5 words or less, I just call them.

Texting is the way to go...I think I put most of you to shame when it comes to texting

I'd be ashamed to admit that. :P

I'm not, I have a 1000 mins a month and only use 100, I have unlimited texting and use over 10k a month ;)

cody 2010-02-03 09:16 AM

You send/receive over 10,000 texts a month? That's 333 per day.

And why do you pay for 1000 minutes if you only use 100? Your carrier doesn't allow you to purchase the unlimited text plan by itself?

I guess I just don't have any interest in perpetually sharing the mundane happenings of my life with others 140 characters at a time.

(I do it via vBulletin, with much longer posts.)

100_Percent_Juice 2010-02-03 04:24 PM

@Juice wasting my time in this thread.

renosubby 2010-02-04 02:13 PM

I use around 8500 txt a month max average is 7000 but this is sent and recieved txts.
I use about 400 min/month

GusGus91 2010-02-04 05:06 PM

I am ashamed to admit this.. but I used 800min last month.. and 16,982 texts sent/receives.. That's my record.. I hope I never reach that again. Since Jan. 20th to the moment I write this i've used 8,316

:flamesuit: on

sperry 2010-02-04 05:37 PM

I think we may have stubled on a generational gap indicator. Use 0 text messages per month, you're over 50; use 1-100, you're over 25; use over 100, you're under 25.

I wouldn't be surprised if the exceptions to that rule number under 2% of cell phone users.

GusGus91 2010-02-04 09:27 PM

I think you may be onto something there sperry.
