Would that still allow the clutch/ignition switch to engage so you can start the car?

LOL. Well I didn't see that it was Subaru specific and not all cars have the ignition switch so I thought it was a good question. :(

Come to think of it... my WRX would really work well with one of these... it just sits in the garage permanently! |
I have the D-Wolf (http://d.wolf.kit.googlepages.com/) (you can also google d-wolf, the first link that comes up are reviews on NASIOC) clutch kit in my car and for something so simple and easy to put in it is really really great. It is made specifically for Subaru and it eliminates some of the slop at the bottom of the clutch stroke and makes it feel as though the clutch engages lower. The clutch "switch" is adjustable so if you install one of these you can easily adjust the clutch switch to still function as normal, or you can bypass it all together so that you don't have to engage the clutch to start the car.

I wasn't thinking of anything so fancy as ixiz or this other d.wolf kit. I figured just a long bolt, a couple of nuts, and a rubber cap from Lowes would work nicely.

This nasioc thread shows how to adjust the start function for the kit. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1349780 |
