Holy crap, it must be... cause this car fucking goes now. I took it out after work for some back-roads testing, and it hauls balls in 1st and 2nd gear. This is how the car should have come from the factory. I looked around and most guys with similar setups on their 5.0s seem to be putting 245-250hp to the ground on the dyno.

I also added a mechanical water temp gauge, with the sensing bulb installed in the front of the lower manifold... sweet.

that is cool looking.

Holy crap captain Kirk. The enterprise called they want their dylithium matrix core temperature interface flow manifold back.

So, uh, no strut tower brace? Didn't Maximum make one that clears the intake man. yet?

BTW: I hear all the new GT's are 300hp. (6'ers are 200hp, and the '06 Cobra will be 400hp N/A!)

Oh, and I love the rotated water temp gauge... NASCAR style!

Nope, they still haven't. But MM makes three-point braces, triangulated from the towers to the firewall... and according to ESP rules, which SM inherits, if I put a STB on it can only be two-point from tower to tower. Never mind that the stock brace from the factory is a triangulated three point. But I don't think it matters much anyway.. I did my own little test before I took off the stock brace by just unbolting one side of it and gooping up the area on the tower around the brace with shoe polish, and then going out for a hard drive. I didn't see any movement in the shoe polish, so I'm not too concerned. And frankly, it doesn't feel any different at all.

Yeah, they're going with an aluminum 4.6L SOHC 3-valve/cylinder design for the GT... maybe since it's aluminum now the 4.6 actually won't weigh over 500lbs.
