Looks like I'm gonna need a set of rear stout mounts or similar and a set of rear endlinks :)

You don't need endlinks or rear mounts. My car had the 27mm bar on it for quite a while and had no problems. The stock endlinks on the STi are pretty stout and the mounts are beefy too.

I'll have to rummage around for the bushings, I'm pretty sure I have them. I'll let you know.

**I do have the bushings for that bar.**

Good deal, let me know when and where you'd like to meet up!

WRX06TR 2011-06-26 09:58 PM

You have a PM

ryan4601 2011-06-27 10:22 AM

You can definitely take the seat. Hit me up with a PM on when you want to meet up. End of this week would work well. Thanks
Ryan

I have an STi, and not a fan of blue interiors. If you were talking Limited leather setup, I'd probably take everything but the front seats if the price was right, would go well with the leather/suede fronts coming in soon.

I'm back, and got to see/drive the car for the first time in a month, so back to needing stuff lol :(

Tried installing the Recaro seats using the Wedge Engineering brackets that came on my Momos, no go. Either need advice on modifying these, or some new brackets. So, anyone have a set of Speedware brackets? Maybe Sparco non-height-adjustables?

Don't be selfish. Post up a picture of this mines trunk!

rory_a 2011-08-05 09:29 PM

only have one on my phone, it's on FB, but I can't seem to link it :(

khail19 2011-08-05 09:51 PM

Looks great!

100_Percent_Juice 2011-08-05 11:09 PM

Nice man! Where did you have it done?

silversuby 2011-08-06 12:28 AM

Very nice. Like a small old school porsche turbo thing sort of.

rory_a 2011-08-07 04:20 PM

I got the '06-'07 wrx decklid from Ray C, had the trim and keyhole shaved, had a Bayson R replica lip trimmed before epoxy and bolted in place, then glassed in. Guy that did the work is Ferdie at Ferdie's Classy Chassis, he just finished my dad's '66 vette resto (the two of them were at it for two years), been at chassis and body for 50+ years.

Main trimming performed was to get the front to sit a bit lower, kicking the lip up more for a bit more pronounced duckbill look. Also had him leave enough of the lower edge visible to replicate the factory decklid sculpting. Couldn't be happier with the way it turned out :)

Paint was done by a contact of KSpeed, they also did a new OE front bumper as mine was cut hell for previous FMIC set up.

100_Percent_Juice 2011-08-07 08:44 PM

Do you still have the old bumper?

rory_a 2011-08-08 06:16 AM

I think I do. Not sure if Matts gonna let me take it. Would like to go fmic with a big turbo setup down the road :)

Gonna make an attempt at entering my pos in Top Scoob. Need goodies. First post edited.

I've got a set of GroundControl rear camber plates for the GD. Really nice shape, low miles. Been sitting in a bag for like 5 years now since I went to the Tein SuperRace coilovers on my race car.

Edit, found a picture:

 how much?

GusGus91 2011-11-03 11:02 AM

I'll take those blue valve stems off your hands. I take it the caps are blue too? Lemme know how much. :)

rory_a 2011-11-03 11:31 AM

Idk to be honest, they should be on the way today, so will know for sure in a week.. They'd be BNIpackage Enkei aluminum stems and caps. I just want chrome or black of the same. So, price is a set of raw/chrome/polished/etc. stems/caps.

GusGus91 2011-11-03 12:37 PM

Oh ya they do because the same ones came with my friends RPF's. Ok well just let me know how much that is hen you find out.

They sell new for $300... so half that? $150? BTW: these top mounts are sized for 2.5" springs and Koni diameter struts (same as stock)... I *think* the KWs are the right size because people run them with stock or Group-N top mounts, but don't quote me on that.

FYI: GC makes an awesome over-mount matching front pair too: http://www.ground-control-store.com/...p/II=150/CA=97

rory_a 2011-11-03 02:04 PM

Gonna need to hit up Cory and check what "modifications" he had to perform to get the coils installed - I know he fought with the fronts, not sure on the rears - I'm on Group Ns now.

If he says go, you got a deal.

And thanks for the headsup on the fronts - I hadn't seen the top mount style before. Might not gain any drop with them, but won't lose any.

The overmounts usually allow the car to ride ~1 inch lower w/o losing suspension travel. Maybe not necessary depending on the coilovers you're running and how much adjustability they have, but they were definitely nice if you're running a Koni/GC setup that's not independent ride-height adjustable.

And if you're running Group-N top hats in the rear right now, the GC top mounts should be a direct replacement.
