Seems high to me, but I suppose an STI in max trim would be super fast.

so maybe someone already told me this but there's no PAX for STU?

so am I wrong?

57.249 * .827 = 47.3449 ?

or was this something different that needed to be signed up for?

I know its 15th but I'm trying to learn....... :?

MikeSTI 2004-04-20 10:29 PM

does it have somthing to do with street tires?

Dean 2004-04-20 10:42 PM

Huh? You have now completely lost me... Your math is correct, and all ST(whatever) cars must be on street tires.

Unless I am mistaken, you have done something that kicks you out of NAS with Matt and into STU. (Only drop in air filter, brake pads, shocks, and front sway bar are alowed in NAS) If you touch boost, then you go to NSM.

This places you 52nd in PAX which isn't bad for your first time out.

Patience and practice is all you need to do better next time. Did you have an instructor ride with you Sat. afternoon, or Sun.?

He has an oil catch can and he's got wider than stock wheels, and a grounding mod. None are legal in AS

Kevin M 2004-04-20 11:20 PM

Hey Scott/Dean, could we trouble you to post up the SECCS members' class and PAX results if it will be a couple more days before results are posted?

How what? Yes, 52nd out of 93 Paxed drivers.(RNPs at the bottom don't count) Did you look at the PAX results on the Reno SCCA web site? There, every raw time is multiplied by the PAX factor for that class, and then the results are ranked from fastest to slowest.

What exactly would you like us to explain further?

Dammit Matt... you posted w/ my account again!

More specifically, the oil catch can and grounding mod aren't legal in STU either... they knowck you to SM or NSM. I had to take mine off for STX, and STU is just like STX as far as rules.

However, I don't think anyone will complain, since there are tons of things Mike hasn't done that would make him faster in STU.

MattR 2004-04-21 12:49 PM

Oh Shit, sorry dude, I didn't even notice. I totally spaced it on those mods, I knew you had to remove yours and everything. Duh? I'm just a dumb A Stock Driver.

MikeSTI 2004-04-21 12:50 PM

take my head off!!!!!! you could have just said I was looking in the wrong place........if I thought I was 15th it was because I was looking at the Street tire class and not the overall. but I was able to figure it out thx

Dean 2004-04-21 01:16 PM

Wasn't trying to take your head off, just asking what I could do to help you out...

Maybe I need to explain what each of the files is.

Class has the class results including everyone's best time, and where that puts them in class.

PAX has everyone's best time multiplied by that class's PAX/RPT factor(read as handicap multiplier to equalize the classes.) to give PAX time. Those are listed from fastest to slowest, and kind of give you an Idea where you stand against other drivers in different classes.

Raw has everyone's best raw unPAXed time listed in order from fastest to slowest.

Run Detail has everyone's individual runs including penalties listed. For everyone but Street Tires, this also gives class placement. Street Tire must refer to Class for placement info.

I work with these files all the time so I forget how much informationis in them, and that they might be confusing to someone who is not familiar with them.

MikeSTI 2004-04-21 02:11 PM

thanks for the information Dean :D

yah being nOOb sucks but I'll get there :P 8)
