And congrats MikeK. Good luck next year in the SpecSTi class. :D

You read correctly, and it hurts :P

The amazing thing is that Scott has co-driven my car at 8 different events now, all differnt tracks, with different lengths and speeds, and our best times are usually within a couple of tenths of each other. I have won a few, and he has won a few. We are really close.

We also thought we were hot shit until Lucas jumped into Matt's car yesterday and made us all look silly.

It'll be even more fun when I can start competing with you guys at raw times :D

I went from 5-6 seconds back on you guys, to being 3-4 seconds back. If only I had run more events. I bet I'd be even closer. Hopefully next year I can start smack talking with you guys (and when Lucas gets his STi... :D)

Being faster is not a prerequisite for smack-talk.

Didn't I catch you on Sunday?

I noticed looking at the season results and they spelled Syclone with a C!

Not that it matters as I only ran 1 event.

I just hate to get confused with the Mercury Cyclone. ;)

This is true.

I did manage a 38.3 on my last run. I think you were at a 38.9? But you are a lot faster than the beginning of the season when I beat you on my RE92s.

NevadaSTi 2005-10-03 12:55 PM

FOrgotten, are you Andy?

My best run for Sunday was a 38.882

Wow, I didn't realise you guys were getting down that low. Next year is going to be interesting!

BTW a stiffer rear swaybar will get you another 0.5 - 1.0 second improvement ;)

Where do I get a rear swaybar?

NevadaSTi 2005-10-03 02:55 PM

http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop...roducts_id/432

Is this a good one?

Nick Koan 2005-10-03 02:56 PM

I think MPJ is currently having a sale on RSBs. www.mpjperformance.com

Matt and I both have Perrin front and rear bars, endlinks and mounts and they have made a huge difference.

Any adjustable bars from companies like Perrin, Whiteline, Cusco, Hotchkis etc will do the job.

Make sure you get the beefier aftermarket endlinks, and rear mounts as well. The stock endlinks and mounts will not last very long with a stiffer sway bar on the car.

You mean like this swaybar?

http://www.mpjperformance.com/cgi-lo...ode=SUBSUSMISC

And this endlink?

Very much like those

MikeK 2005-10-03 03:30 PM

Scott, can you post the final season results here?

sperry 2005-10-03 03:37 PM

Yep, 'cept there is a minor issue w/ 'em... according to the rules, I shouldn't be scoring anyone that hasn't competed enough events to qualify for a trophy, so if there are people ahead of you (well, not you Mike :P ) that didn't run 8 events this season, remember to move yourself up the correct number of spots in the final order.

Congrats Mike, for winning pax this year!

I didn't hear the results, what did Lucas run (compared to everyone else)?

Nick Koan 2005-10-05 09:41 AM

I believe Lucas ended Sunday with a 36.3 or 36.4. Faster then himself in his Corvette, and faster then the rest of the group

dknv 2005-10-05 09:42 AM

Oh, and if I forgot to say so, it was Really Great to see you guys who were out there Sunday afternoon. I've really missed the club. Thanks to some really great friends, I was convinced to take a little time out to play. Autox is my therapy.

Was he out of tire on the Corvette? (And what condition were Matt's tires?)

Nick Koan 2005-10-05 09:47 AM

It was good to see you out there too Debbie.

Anyway, Lucas said he couldn't explain why he was faster in the STi. But, he's admitted that an STi on Hoosiers would be a very scary beast.

MattR 2005-10-05 03:02 PM

Hahah...My car was on its thrashed, barely functioning RE070's :p I was surprised too. What a blast.

wrxtasy 2005-10-12 02:33 PM

Concentrating on improving your driving will shave off more time than putting go-fast parts on the car.

I'm fond of interfreezers and flowducers, myself. Although judicious use of Cheetah JetsTM can slow down the competition as well...
