MikeK 2007-03-20 03:44 PM

You're gonna have to run out of class then, 'cause my lap times in SM will make you feel pretty bad. :P

Man, there was a day when my car was reliable enough to be driven by two drivers!?! I totally forgot about that!

MattR 2007-03-21 12:14 PM

What's cool about that day, was that it was the first time I'd ever driven a manual tranny at Auto-x.. Hmm....Ice burn.

NevadaSTi 2007-03-21 04:11 PM

I seam to remember you beat his time with a passenger in the car last season at Hawthorne, and I do seam to remember that the passenger was me. Thanks for the ride. LOL.

Why did we go for a change in the scoring?

That would be cool to have all the URABUS's running together. Because then I could run number 43 and really screw everyone up. LOL.

Awesome!

I finally get to race along side you guys :D

Joeyy 2007-03-27 07:52 AM

No more rides with Dean. I can't make the 14th so I'll try to run in the morning of the 15th and hit the afternoon for RNP for the "Seat Time Carma".;)

Dean 2007-03-27 08:39 AM

Any insight as to why they decided to specify run groups for Novice?

One of the bonus purposes of novice group was to be able to use them to balance the run groups...

Also, the order swap between the June and July which is actually a carry over from a mistake last year or the year before should be fixed...

If the theory is to make it so part of the season you have All morning / all afternoon weekends vs. always 1/2 morning 1/2 afternoon weekends, it fails...

This is what the second half should look like if you want that affect.
Code:

April 14          Novice autocross school        Stead airport              N/A
April 15        Solo points event    1                Stead airport            YGWB
April 28-29        Solo points events  2 & 3        Stead airport        BYGW WBYG
May 12-13        Solo points events  4 & 5        Stead airport        GWBY YGWB
May 26-27        Solo points events  6 & 7            TBA
June 9-10        Solo points events  8 & 9        Stead airport        BYGW WBYG
July 14-15        Solo points events  10 & 11        Stead airport        YGWB BYGW
Aug. 4-5        Solo points events  12 & 13        Stead airport        WBYG GWBY
Aug. 25-26        Solo points events  14 & 15        Squaw Valley        YGWB BYGW
Sept.22-23        Solo points events  16 & 17        Lovelock AP.        WBYG GWBY
Oct.  6-7        Solo points events  18 & 19        Stead airport        YGWB BYGW

If you want it just to keep rotating correctly, it should be:

Code:

April 15        Solo points event    1                Stead airport            YGWB
April 28-29        Solo points events  2 & 3        Stead airport        BYGW WBYG
May 12-13        Solo points events  4 & 5        Stead airport        GWBY YGWB
May 26-27        Solo points events  6 & 7            TBA
June 9-10        Solo points events  8 & 9        Stead airport        BYGW WBYG
July 14-15        Solo points events  10 & 11        Stead airport        GWBY YGWB
Aug. 4-5        Solo points events  12 & 13        Stead airport        BYGW WBYG
Aug. 25-26        Solo points events  14 & 15        Squaw Valley        YWGB BYWG
Sept.22-23        Solo points events  16 & 17        Lovelock AP.        GWBY YGWB
Oct.  6-7        Solo points events  18 & 19        Stead airport        BYGW WBYG

MattR 2007-03-27 09:37 AM

John E takes care of this for us, and the swap mid season was to split it up. I don;t think it really matters all that much.

Also, the novice groups are still going to be split wherever needed, they're just listed on the card so it appears, in all likelihood, they will run with those groups though given historical entry data from last year.

Dean 2007-03-27 10:04 AM

I'll send a note to John...

MattR 2007-03-27 10:48 AM

Yeah, that's probably best to do, your layout makes sense...

And, the schedule order puts Novices in only-mornings or only-afternoons for 4 separate events. I thought we wanted to be able to have novices run in the morning (if they arrive early enough) - as opposed to having a novice arrive early and then be told they have to wait until the afternoon run groups. I suppose they could always just rnp though.

cody 2007-03-27 01:08 PM

Do you all usually go to Novice Autocross School? Any reason I shouldn't miss it?

Yeah go to it. You'll learn a lot about driving that Yellow car of yours!! LOL

:D

MPREZIV 2007-03-27 01:19 PM

Yes, go to the school. Seat time FTW!

cody 2007-03-27 01:21 PM

Fair enough. I'm just trying to figure out when I can install new springs. I guess after work some weekday.

Joeyy 2007-03-28 05:27 PM

Is it April yet? This is going to kill me.

You should be coming to Pahrump this weekend for a weekend of track time with the Audi club. Should be tons of track time. I'll be the chief instructor and will be breaking in the new suspension... Should be a blast.

Still spots available...

Final Run Order Schedule is posted in first Post, please check there for correct information.

M3n2c3 2007-04-01 05:18 PM

How would my run group work out if I wanted to run RNP the whole season?

Kevin M 2007-04-01 05:25 PM

You could choose morning or afternoon at each event.

Bob Danger 2007-04-01 06:18 PM

I'm not going to be out there on saturdays, but I'd like to get as much seat time as possible in the new car, so could I RNP in both run groups on sunday? Considering there is enough room.

Kevin M 2007-04-01 06:26 PM

Yes, you can run both morning and afternoon in RNP.

MikeK 2007-04-01 07:51 PM

Just make sure you use a different number for the afternoon!

wrxkidid 2007-04-01 08:56 PM

MPREZIV 2007-04-02 07:09 AM

Assuming it's not crowded in the afternoon this is true. But in the past we've limited RNP second runs if it meant the event would run long. However, Sundays are usually less of an issue than Saturdays.

NevadaSTi 2007-04-02 10:02 AM

When will the little Run group and PAX cards be available?

I don't know when the cards will be out, but here are the pax factors we will be using this year: http://scca-chicago.com/solo/indexes/rtp2007.html

T multiplier is 0.968 again.

MattR 2007-04-02 11:03 AM

PAx and Schedule cards will be available at the general SCCA Meeting Wednesday night, then again at Inspection day Saturday, then at the first Event.

A1337STI 2007-04-05 12:22 PM

Cody the autox school is extra seat time, and its Uber close to your house, why miss it ?

cody 2007-04-05 01:02 PM

I'll be there. I was just trying to plan a time to do springs, but they're on. :)

Joeyy 2007-04-30 11:40 AM

Currently a three way tie in SM at 20 points between Cory, Dean and Scott.

MPREZIV 2007-04-30 11:42 AM

Not for long... me=notasfastasDean/Mike. I may be able to hold Scott off if he doesn't get his car any time soon. (not to jinx Scott or anything tho.)

MikeK 2007-04-30 11:53 AM

I'm currently 10th in PAX but it's going to be a bitch to say in the top 10.

MattR 2007-04-30 12:36 PM

OMG! Dean I laughed so hard at the button you posted!

Joeyy 2007-05-11 06:33 AM

Who has the Skittles on the new PAX numbers I saw being passed around last event? Is the Chevy gang still pissing over the street tire mod? Thanks for any information.

Nick Koan 2007-05-11 06:55 AM

Of course the Corvette guys are complaining about the street tire modifiers. That's why they call them Corvette guys.
