+1 not to mention that since my boss allowed me to change my wheel bearings last night, and I didn't get outta here until about 7, (making it a 12 hour day...) there was absolutely NO energy left to drive down to the meet.

*insert whaambulance* :P

My 5:30 to 6:00 meeting ran until 7:30 (yes, someone scheduled a meeting starting 30 minutes after we're supposed to leave the office). So I didn't leave the office 'till after 8. That was only a 12 hour day... Wed I was there for 17 hours, and 10+ hours every other day this week (and pretty much since Jan for that matter).

Fuck this job.

...Fuck this job.

While the hours they work you SUCK, and I know it, I am forced to point out my friend, that it must be REALLY tiring sitting on your ass at a desk all day...

Hey!

Sitting on your ass all day *is* tiring.

Mainly because you aren't getting exercise, except to go to the vending machine, so everything starts to wind you.

Seriously. I need to walk more. I'm a freakin pansy when it comes to hiking, as I found out last week.

At this point, I'd much rather get my ass physically kicked by a job than spending 8 hours a day in meetings getting admonished for not getting enough work done... work that would be done if I wasn't in meetings 8 hours a day.

WRX06TR 2007-11-09 01:10 PM

^8 hours of cart pulling will kick your ass....trust me...Costco carts are big and heavy and the Founder of Costco believes in good ole hard work, so that means no machines, just me and a rope...Too bad i really like the excercise...

WRX06TR 2007-11-09 02:26 PM

I sit at a desk all day and stare at a computer. I've gotten more exhausted from this job than my last one...I was on my feet the whole time at my last job.

Emboyoyo 2007-11-09 02:28 PM

^Shit that post was from me...I forgot to sign out of Nick's name haha!!!

broken car....and i didnt want to roll up in the car im currently using.

also i cant really complain about my job...only part that kinda sucks is dealing with the drunks, and that is entertaining sometimes.

JonnydaJibba 2007-11-09 04:15 PM

Um...

Have you seen Kevins car(sorry!)? We've all had to use a crappy ride for one reason or another. Fuckin life.

Kevin M 2007-11-09 04:34 PM

I love driving my beater car. You should have seen it in August...

Bob Danger 2007-11-09 10:00 PM

I personally love driving crappy cars!

When a shitty car gets you some where you want to go, you can't help but feel awesome. I'm sure everyone has driven that old piece of crap car that still has that fighting spirit, and just wants to keep going. My Ford Probe beat Pete's WRX, and Tim's Civic in a snow rally, running on 3 cylinders. Every time you get in that car you just think, "I might not make it home tonight."

It's a joy unlike any other.

Man, haven't you seen the POS I drive? Mechanically speaking, it is fine. One oil leak, no big deal. The 15 gallons of gas that only lasts me three days is the biggest problem.

One the work deal, sitting behind a computer abusing your brain all day long is a whole different animal compared to a physical job. Trust me, I have had both. Residential framing will kick the snot out of any of you guys. Reading Building Code and translating it into Residential or Commercial plans makes my brain feel like a bowl full of snot.

Yep, normal time. It would be in place of the Thursday meet that won't likely be happening on Thanksgiving...

Emboyoyo 2007-11-14 02:17 PM

I might make it...If i'm not going to southern cali for Thanksgiving then I will probably make it.

JonnydaJibba 2007-11-14 02:49 PM

Hey I'm going to SoCali for Thanksgiving too. But I don't fly out til Thursday morning. Where are you going?

JonnydaJibba 2007-11-14 02:55 PM

WEIRD, I'm gonna be in San Diego also. We are flying down there this time. I want to go to Magic Mountain again.

JonnydaJibba 2007-11-14 03:15 PM

The way there I made it in 7, the way back was more like 9.

Emboyoyo 2007-11-14 03:39 PM

That's a long drive!! I gotta drive from Minden to Sac right after work at noon and then straight from Sac to Temecula. :~: I'll probably be sleeping the whole ride down though!!

I'll try to make it to the meet Wednesday. I'm not sure when I'll be able to leave work though.

WRX06TR 2007-11-19 03:39 PM

I will be there.

Dean 2007-11-19 10:46 PM

I'm out. Parental Units in town for Turkey, not chicken. :)

knucklesplitter 2007-11-19 11:34 PM

Will try to make it. Wed. is actually a good day for me :)

NevadaSTi 2007-11-20 08:27 AM

Ah man, I woke up this morning thinking "I am going to get a Crispy BBQ Bacon Hooter tonight!" Then I really woke up and realized that it is only Tuesday.

Your parents are obviously not black.

wrxkidid 2007-11-21 02:28 PM

Isn't the turkey tomorrow?

ScratchWagon 2007-11-21 03:30 PM

I'm new here so sorry for the questions. But where is Joe Bobs, and is the meet at 7 tonight?

Nick Koan 2007-11-21 05:24 PM

Joe Bob's is on the corner of S. Virginia and Longley. 7pm tonight. Its a special Birthday meet, most of the time they are on Thursdays at the Tamarack Junction.

sperry 2007-11-29 11:31 AM

Hey MikeK... you coming to the meet tonight? I still have the shift knob for you.

And Phil, I'm going to bring that bit from my steering wheel for ya.

All this assuming I can get outta work to make it to the meet, of course. Was there anything else I was supposed to remember for anyone?

MikeK 2007-11-29 11:56 AM

Ya

tysonK 2007-11-29 02:31 PM

I gotta remember battery for Dean. *note to self*
