So I went down tonight to check you guys out. I saw the cars parked out back and I walked through the casino but I don't know anybody so I wasn't sure where to look. When I left my exhaust set off the alarm on I think an older black impreza. So if you came out and your alarm was going off that's why. Next time i'll try to show up a little earlier so I can catch you before you go inside.

Kevin M 2008-06-12 09:16 PM

We eat in the sports bar, down in front of the ginormous TV. Can't miss us.

MPREZIV 2008-06-13 06:47 AM

I was wondering why my alarm had been set off...

cody 2008-06-20 11:00 AM

Some of you heard me talking about my laptop at the meet last night...

http://www.everex.com/products/xt5300t/xt5300t.htm

They're currently unavailable...

http://www.everexstore.com/products/etc.htm#XT5300T

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834280007

But I've been really impressed with it. The only thing that kinda sucks is the keyboard layout. For some reason they decided you need 3 backslash keys and a subsequently tiny right shift key. The touchpad takes a bit of pressure too. But it plays modern games! The COD4 demo plays incredibly while Bioshock and Crysis demos have to be played on medium-ish settings. It's got a 2nd HDD bay and it's SATAII compliant. :liljon:

It's enormous, but then again, so am I.

Emboyoyo 2008-07-07 08:48 AM

I'll be at the meet this week!!!

mcspatula 2008-07-09 10:17 PM

You can count this stranger in for the next meet-up as well!

Generally, how early do people show up for the pre-foodstuffs socializing? Also, on which side of the parking lot can you guys be found?

cody 2008-07-09 10:23 PM

Fresh Meat!!!!!!!1111 :P

Kris, a couple of his buddies and I should be there too so bring those fog covers Scott.

We usually meet SW of the building. There should be 10-20 of us.

wrxkidid 2008-07-09 10:28 PM

Detritus 2008-07-12 02:56 PM

Are there ever meets on the weekend? I can't make it during the week because of work.

100_Percent_Juice 2008-07-12 03:36 PM

^ Nope. There are quite a few people who can't make it because of work. I am also one of them.

Kevin M 2008-07-12 03:39 PM

You can practically consider the autocrosses a meet.

Dewey 2008-07-13 04:53 PM

i will be able to make it to the one on thursday... first one aside from autox

wrxkidid 2008-07-13 08:13 PM

Im moving into my apartment on thursday. We could move the meet to help me :)

Maybe I will make it if we get done earlier than I expect but I kinda doubt it.

100_Percent_Juice 2008-07-14 06:09 AM

^Do you need help moving stuff?

wrxkidid 2008-07-14 10:39 AM

My roommate bailed to colorado. Supposedly his dad made him but who knows. Luckily I didnt sign the lease yet. So i will most likely be there now.

Summers been great so far. :/

Bringing my roommate too.

sperry 2008-07-24 08:14 PM

Hey it was nice to see a bunch of new people out at the meet tonight. Thanks for coming out guys!

Detritus 2008-07-24 08:20 PM

Yeah I had fun. I just wish I could go every week. So if I want to come out to the autocross this weekend I just need to bring myself and my car? What about the track instruction Dean was talking about out at RFR?

Yep, yourself, your car, driver's license and some cash. Make sure you leave most of the junk in your car at home and that your battery is tied down and no major mechanical issues as your car will have to pass a basic safety inspection.

I'll let Nick or Kevin tell you how much as I can't keep track of all the new membership and what not stuff.

Reno SCCA does have a track day coming up August 9th. Here is the link

Classroom and in-car instruction is part of the PDX program. At this time, it appears we will be using the lower horsepower course which is a nice easy to remember course with some challenging sections to learn on. Not quite as technical as Course B we ran last week, but still fun. Let me nkow if you have any questions.

Hey guys, thanks for having me yesterday. I was the quiet guy at the end of the table. Sorry if you thought I was wierd  but I just don't talk much. You guys are a great bunch of people (Dean and Cory were hilarious) and I hope that I can come out for the meets more often!

Nick Koan 2008-08-02 08:51 AM

Yeah man, any time you want to come out feel free. Good to have you out there.

MattR 2008-09-04 03:55 PM

Tahoe C5 2008-09-11 04:43 PM

Will there be a fruit cup?

Dewey 2008-09-11 04:53 PM

^ you can probably have them make you one...

sperry 2008-10-09 09:18 PM

Hey who is it on the board that's got the "not an STI"? (I'm terrible at matching up usernames and faces.)

I was following you home after the meet and kept thinking that there was just something off about your car... then I realized it: your brake lights are wired in-side-out! Maybe you rewired them that way on purpose, but your brake lights are on instead of your tail-lights, and your tail-lights light up when you hit the brakes.

Just thought I'd mention it in case it was a mistake by whoever installed the lights on the car... 'cause your tail-lights are damn bright, and your brake lights may actually be a little hard to see in the day-time.

That's me, I read a tutorial about JDM tail lights, and it is a mod that I did, thinking it would be good, but maybe I may need to rethink the way it works.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention Scott.

Does the kit change the intensity of the lights? The tail-lights looked plenty bright as brake lights at night, but if they're the same bulbs, they might not be all that bright in the day.
