That's the one.

cody 2006-02-16 10:47 AM

Okay great so:

Car: '99 Suby Rally Car
Track: Cathedral Rocks 2 (Normal)

Sound good?

GarySheehan 2006-02-16 11:39 AM

I'm not sure if I've driven that one yet. Can't remember.

Did you guys Gold the Grand Canyon License Test? I'm all for Grand Canyon! ;)

Gary, it sounds like Grand Canyon might be too long for some people. I'm down for any dirt track though. You guys figure it out.

BTW, I'll be leaving town tonight and won't be back till Sunday night so I'm sure Sperry can edit the first post if we don't get a track nailed down before I leave...or somthing.

GarySheehan 2006-02-16 11:51 AM

Cathedral is fine. It's your choice. I'll drive whatever you tell me to.

I was just wondering if anyone had Gold for the Grand Canyon license. Took me forever to get it, but I finally did.

Ok cool, we'll stick with Cathedral. I haven't gotten to the dirt license tests yet. I assume I'll be getting there soon though. I'm working on my iA license.

I loath GT4's rally physics. I did the bare minimum to get the license, and haven't looked back.

JonnydaJibba 2006-02-16 11:55 AM

Gravel for sheezy.

bemani 2006-02-16 12:54 PM

Rally license is the easiest to get gold on. Probably took me longer to get gold on the straight line braking test than the rally tests.

In GT3, to get the '02 WRC WRX you have to get all golds on the Rally test. I think it took me like 50 hours to get the gold on the final test where you have to run a full lap of Tahiti Maze.

bemani 2006-02-16 04:12 PM

I think the GT4 rally tests are a lot easier than GT3's though.

sperry 2006-02-16 09:36 PM

Okay, so what's the official challenge? There are two Cathedral Rocks Trails.

bemani 2006-02-16 09:47 PM

The second one, the short one.

How far out is a 1'08.6? 5 seconds off the pace? more?

GarySheehan 2006-02-16 10:55 PM

I've never seen the track before! Did about 5 laps and I'm in the 1:09's.

I did about 10 laps and got 1'05.9xx.

sperry 2006-02-20 08:42 PM

Is anyone running? I'm down to a 1'06.441... I seem to get lower times by just crashing into the rocks and driving away.

GarySheehan 2006-02-20 08:50 PM

I'm running. Stop crashing into rocks...

Yeah, I just ran a 1'05.325, but my line is comically unrealistic. I finish the lap spinning across the line.

Ezdno 2006-02-20 09:01 PM

I did 1:23:whatever on my first couple of runs

I am a poster child for Maaco

Wow, one hour, 23 minutes, and whatever seconds. You might want to think about another sport. :P

cody 2006-02-20 09:12 PM

I'm minutes away from finally joining this challenge. :D

sperry 2006-02-20 09:48 PM

BTW: Here's my excellent dismount...
