I want that wing for my wagon!...

AtomicLabMonkey 2007-04-06 06:18 AM

My mods for 07 possibly consist of a running engine.

That will do wonders for your lap times

Niice. I just saw a friend of mine roll his fenders on his RX-7 by jacking up the car and then letting it down with a baseball bat inbetween the tires and the fender. rolled it around and pulled it out. It looks a bit fugly though.

True. Although my alternate plan of pinning a number to my back, donning my helmet, and running the course on foot would be a great workout.

Header's on. Car sounds great, and picks up a little more overall, particularly from 4000rpm. :)

Sounds about right! It's gonna feel faster pulling out of corners in second gear from 2500rpm to 4500.

Yeah, I think I noticed that on the way up the 50E>395 onramp tonight. :)

End of 2007.... still 22 years of dry rot. :(

Road_Kill 2007-10-12 07:52 PM

Bob, Dude, you gotta work on getting a 20v, or I can tell you about a 3sgte that I know about.

You know I think a 20v would be to much power in that car, ideally I'm looking for 140hp. Maybe in the future, but in learning how to drive the car I'll start off with a good old 16v. I really want to do a Rotary swap.

I know that this comment coming from me doesn't hold much value but...

You need to make up your damn mind.

You can't rush a low budget project. That's why its a project and not my Daily Driver.

Um. . .

End of 2006:

Helix DNA coilovers
17mm WRX RSB
17"x7.5" Gram Lights 57c and Falken Azenis RT615 in 225/45-17
Schroth Rallye 3 harness
a few silly visual/trim mods

Start of 2007. . . Bye-bye Helix DNAs and Gram lights, and add the following:

Stromung dual-tip catback
Prodrive WRX blue springs
17"x7.5" Rota Subzeros with the same Falken Azenis
a few more silly trim mods

Through 2007 and into 2008:

Borla header
KYB GR2 struts (if they actually release the damn things)
Prodrive steering rack bushings
brake pads and lines
larger RSB (maybe)
Intake snorkel delete
bumper cam installed in foglight bezel
probably some more silly trim mods

So I managed to get the header, and that was it. :( Also sold off the Subzeros.

There was once an F1 driver that told his engineer something to the effect of: "When the car will lay black rubber strips all the way from the exit of each corner to the entrance of the next, THEN the car will finally have enough power." Be like the F1 driver. :D
