Holy crap! I was reading through that old thread, and that chessy Nickleback song "Photographs" come over the radio, and...I think I cried a litlle...

Seriously, that was the "beginning of seccs" thread.

haha, doink.com days. good times.

I just want less "chrome" in my headlights...Jeez. :P

Nick Koan 2005-12-28 09:13 AM

Oh, I see why I've never heard the term before. Its a ClubWRX thing

Actually, after doing a little searching, I've seen it crop up a few times on the legitimate Subaru boards, but not more then just DIY or blacking out or whatever else.

cody 2005-12-28 09:17 AM

Yah, I would have just given you this link but I know how you guys are... :P

Stay Zenki, everyone goes Kouki. I just like the Zenki lines better, more R33-ish.

Cody,

As Scott said, I did this way back in late 2001/early 2002. I've had the modded headlights in the garage since I put on the WRC projectors. If you want, you could trade me for your stock lights. I'm only keeping them around in case I need to put the car back to stock to sell it in the future, so it would be better for me if they were actually stock. I really liked the look of the car much better after the mod, mostly cause I hated having all that chrome plastic on the front of the car. Let me know if you want them.

cody 2005-12-29 08:21 AM

You're wagon looks great in red.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-29 09:14 AM

Those wagons are my favorite out of any Subaru model I think. But I can't afford the insurance right now. =(

renoguy20 2005-12-29 12:15 PM

Insurance isnt unworkable, Im only paying 145 a mon. for really good coverage and low deductables. I dont have any speeding tickets yet though.

renoguy20 2005-12-29 12:20 PM

Comparing the two 05 wagons, I think I have an STI hood scoop, Opinions?

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-29 12:56 PM

Scoop do it. And insurance is unworkable for me because I got a DUI Sept of '04. Full coverage on 99 RS is about $350-400 a month for me. That's even a non-turbo car w/airbags. :(

Looks like your STI gave that tree on the left a major woody.

Are you asking if we think you've got an STI hoodscoop on the car? 'Cause you don't.

If you're asking if we think you should get an STI hoodscoop, I say don't bother. The '04 '05 STI scoop looks like someone stapled a shoebox on the hood sideways. They're too big and blocky. Find out if an '06 STI scoop would fit... those are much nicer!
