Yeah, but it makes less HP, and, more importantly, my car's louder..... :p

(which means I beat most jet aircraft at takeoff as well, but that's another story ;))

Okay, I've been in my own little world or something. I'm glad you're okay! Sorry the car isn't, but... FINALLY, Jonneh.

Hahahahaaa..

I guess you don't remember my mom's sandwiched L that I was *trying* to part out in RS25. It's *still* in their driveway - they wouldn't let me touch it. I only got away with the locking gas flap and related bits... Thankfully, I didn't have to even break out the ratchet to get the rear seats out. :D

I got a nudge from one of my friends saying that our neighbor (who owns an autobody shop) was telling her who could tow it away and at what cost - asking her to pass it on to me so I could break it to my parents. :P

-As seen in the temporary "extra" parking space. I'll bet it's way more rusty and full of mice now.

I was pretty miffed that it was so bad back there that I couldn't pull out the truck release cable along with the gas flap's.. The entire latch assembly is curled under. =/

I have a question. I am trying to move my car into the street to work on a flat surface, but the car won't come out of park. I have power but I can't move the damn thing. Is there like a fuse somewhere that burns out when the airbags come out to prevent me from moving it? Imma go read my owner's manual some more.

JC 2006-04-22 02:07 PM

There is an inhibitor switch (I think that's what it's called) that prevents the car from getting out of park. Yours might have gotten busted.

Dude, the car was trying to shake off that trunk. Bad rear-end juju. :P

Isn't there a shift lock release button, near the shifter. If not drag that bitch out with the Ford!

Indeed.

I stopped in after work one day and it was just there. I'd forgotten all about the damn thing (it had been months and months) and was thinking "WTF did Lonnie go and buy that sh*t for?!"

I saw it the day after the accident at the lot it was being held at... and then just plain forgot it even existed. Evidently, they got tired of it taking up space and they drove it 30 miles back to us to dump it. O.o

Or maybe the insurance company was trying to prompt my parents to follow through with something...

Unintentional hijack, Jonneh.

JonnydaJibba 2006-04-24 07:20 AM

Eh, no biggie. This thread can be a tribute to fallen L's...

I wasn't able to get it out of park yet, but some dude my dad works with wants the car, so he said he'd take it and take my struts and springs off for me and give em back, so that's cool.

JonnydaJibba 2006-05-02 09:04 AM

Well some dude my dad works with took it. I don't think he got it out of park but it doesn't matter now. He is going to take off the suspension and the deck out and give em back to me. Bye bye first car =(

Try a week apart.
