Absolutely EPIC. I had to go back and watch it another 2 times.

Ah, the days when F1 involved this now seldom thing called I believe... "passing".... Those were the days.

I guess you haven't been watching any F1 for the last 2 seasons. The races have been very entertaining. Granted not a lot of wheel-to-wheel passing, but terrific competition nonetheless. Alonso vs. Schumacher came down to the wire last year, and Ferrari vs. McLaren this season has been intense, and may provide us with an epic season the likes of which haven't been seen since Schumacher joined Ferrari.

Good racing != tons of passing. If that were true, NASCAR would be the best racing on the planet.

That Clip is incredible! Thanks for bumping it.

I'm sorry, when the majority of position changes are based on fuel and pit strategy, and not as much wheel to wheel competition I lose much of my interest.

Road courses and cars with fenders are my preference. Give me a T2 race like the run offs a few years back, ALMS, touring car, V8 supercars, etc... Passing and strategy all rolled into one. I think that was my original point... F1 used to have LOTS of on track passing!!!

You don't have to apologized for not "getting" F1. :P Frankly, it's not like any other racing on earth. In fact it's almost more like a time trials event, but that's because the level of competition is so high that cars are rarely a whole car length faster than each other. Granted it's an acquired taste in a way, but frankly I find F1 to be by-far the most entertaining race series.

Second is amateur Spec Miata racing, for exactly the opposite reason F1 is entertaining... those guys just go out and beat on each other like it's personal. (Okay not really, but you get my point... door to door is exciting, F1 just isn't that sort of racing.)

Speaking of good racing, I thought the Speed GT race at Long Beach (recorded sometime this weekend I think) was awesome. Some first lap mayhem, but after that some good clean racing.

And the GP2 race at Bahrain comes in a close second, but only if there was Benny Hill music playing the whole time.

EDIT:
And to keep this thread on topic (kinda).

A clip of highlights from Nakajima Kazuki in the GP2 race(s) at Bahrain.

Highlights from the Sprint Race:

I am still looking for footage of the first lap of the feature race.

I was considering going down anyway, but it was the first auto-x weekend. In retrospect, it probably would have been a better weekend down there

I know, I know, most of you don't give a damn, but give it a chance before you judge it! It's really a well done video, and much less abrasive than most of their music.
