Speaking of that, apparently the bitch was just released today after only serving 3 days in custody. She can go sit in her posh fucking house eating ice cream and drinking mimosas on the balcony with a bracelet around her ankle, because she has money & good lawyers. GODDAMMIT that pisses me off. Any regular joe would have been thrown in the LA county lockup with all the drug addicts & gangbangers for their full sentence. The justice system in this country is fucking broken.

Yes, but how fast were it's wheels spinning?

Dean 2007-06-07 02:53 PM

I really like how the driver is in full driving suit and helmet, and the guy in the open bed is just in overalls. Backspin FTW...

Exactly what I was thinking.

Driver's in a firesuit, gloves, helmet, seatbelt, roof, etc... dude in the back is like "fuck it"... overalls, not even a hat or goggles, no seatbelt, sharing a low sided truck bed with heavy machinery spinning at 62 mph...

Also, that was a long ass video for one crappy 2 second replay at the end.

The story dug up at NASIOC was that the guy was sold the wrong thread size lugs. So they went on, torqued properly (probably cross-threaded), but weren't really tight, so they all came flying off as soon as they were loaded.

Probably the same deal as Aaron's brake caliper fiasco from a while back.

Nick Koan 2007-06-12 02:48 PM

Yeah, I'd bet. Even hand torqued nuts (assuming proper thread size) wouldn't see all of them fail at the exact same time.

Damn, though. That's crazy.
