Nice Scott :p

I like turning the difficulty up to hard. It really presents more of a challenge.

(psst, there is a typo in your "About" window)

Hey,
It's my birthday. I'm having a prime rib dinner in my hotel room at The Rio, because that is the only celebrating I'm getting today.(Shameless plug/off)
I'm in Vegas for a training class. Sucked to get up at 4am to catch the 6am cattle call for LAS.

Found a bug/feature.

Hitting reset only sets them to 0 until the next game at which point it goes back to where it was...

Can you cross compile this to PocketPC?

I only screw with my friends, after a hazardous incident in college (I'm not allowed in Souix Falls anymore, long story.) ;)

So that's where the "Seriously where's my pants" quote came from!

I already go there every week anyways. I think it would be a great location. Food can cost anywhere from 8-14 dollars depending how hungry and or well off you are.

my vote is friggin in.

Bait and Switch?

The property is zoned for automotive, however the Landlord is not fond of auto use for the obvious reasons. We currently have only one space available, 595 Spice Island Dr. Unit # 5 (Frontier Printing). We have several interested parties but no offers at this time. I never try and discourage anyone from any type of use and leave that decision up to the Landlord, so if this space works for you, let's discuss the possibilities.

Stats: 2160 sf @ $ .60 / sf/ per month or $1296.00 / month. One office, one restroom, one 12' x 14' overhead door, sprinklered, insulated, skylights, common parking.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Sounds like a cool place. But it is a little expensive... we'd need like 6 people willing and able to throw down $200/mo. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable relying on 5 other people to come up with said cash every month to keep me from getting screwed. We'd have to form a true corperation to protect our individual wealth from defaulting on the lease.

Also, the landlord probably wouldn't be happy with us. Maybe it would be different since we're not trying to be a full on auto-shop, just a race shop/meet place for our car club. Hell, if I didn't have a bunch of debt already, I would consider going in on half of a place like that... but financially it's not worth it right now.

MikeSTI 2004-12-15 10:55 AM

we need to be a vendor :D

That's pretty much what I've concluded. We'll have to look into this again later.

That's actually one of the big benefits of opening our own "shop"... we get all of our go-fast bits at cost, and we get to write it all off. Plus, we are a racing team. That's just fucking cool!

Have to ask Art, but insurance on an outomotive shop isn't going to be cheap either...

That's only for legitiamte businesses. Since we wouldn't be actually performing labor or charging for services for anybody not on the charter, it wouldn't matter. :P

Liable for what? How we gonna get sued when we have no customers?

I guarantee if someone in "the club" were there working on a car, and were injured...all bets are off...the leasee is getting sued.

Friends or not, people have to pay bills...

In that case, we are taking the same risks by working on cars in each other's garages.

Anything! Why do you think there are homowner policies, and million dollar unbrela liability policies? Because people will sue for any damn reason, and for no apparent reason, win occasionally. The posibilities where there are multi-thousand pound vehicles, tools, and flamable fluids are astronomical. I'd want insurance even if you were posted outside the door with the equivelant of the SCCA waiver...

I bet every home owner who's house we work at has a fat liability policy... There is also a significant difference once you have a place that is designated for work of that type vs. your budy's garage.

I've got renter's insurance that covers me if you fuck your shit up at my place. 'Course, if you hurt yourself being stupid, and then sue me over it, I'm taking it out of your ass with a torque wrench. :P
