i had severe money problems after several dealings with bad vendors. Lost all kinds of money/parts/reputation. I had to ditch the money from the vmount to counter the bad debts. that didnt do it all either. so i actually havent changed anything on the car until very recently. so no vmount for me. never got that stupid wing either.

This is an 06 WRX with:

built block with CP forged pistons, cosworth bearings, arp head studs
tdo6 20g with 8cm housing
aps tmic
aps 70mm intake
aps inlet
tgv deletes
OBX equal length headers,
injen dowpipe wrapped
intake manifold spacers
Skunk2 exhaust
NX intercooler sprayer
07 sti 6 speed tranny

This car had some wiring issues causing false knock readings at low load and low rpm only after the clutch was engaged. Later the car threw a couple codes that were also wiring related so we ended the tune early and decided to hold off on the C16 tune until the issues were resolved. We also discovered the car still has 650cc injectors which ended up being maxxed out on the 91 tune. The customer is going to fix the wiring and get some 750's for next time. That being said, at WOT the car had absolutely no issues and made awesome power on 91 Octane. Here's the 91 octane plot:

Something to note here is that this is the first built engine I have ever seen that sounded just like a stock block! No piston slap, no loud diesel-like noises, etc. It just ran smoothly and you would never guess that it has forged pistons. Props go out to AIMS machine shop for assembling a great motor.

anyone have an extra accessport serial cable that lives in the northwest?

100_Percent_Juice 2007-10-25 08:58 PM

are you looking to borrow or buy it? When do you need it?

EQ Tuning 2007-10-25 09:25 PM

Is that really on straight 91 Octane? No meth injection? I haven't worked with this turbo personally but that seems awfully high for 91. That's right around 35R territory. If its really true, I'm gonna have to try this snail out ;).

BTW, any Mustang dyno that hasn't been messed with with corrections will read just like GST's dyno. I know FLI uses a correction on their dyno which makes it read more like a Dynojet. The road dyno reads very closely to a Mustang that is not using any corrections.

Thanks

 damn man.. C16 might be cheaper ;)

But seriously, how much boost are you running on that meth tune?

dayofpain 2007-10-25 11:03 PM

This time the customer switched back to the stock airbox and stock BOV. With very consistent fueling, we were able to safely extract an additional 11whp and 23ft-lbs! This car has a TD05-18g with 7cm housing, STI TMIC, ScoobySport downpipe, 1 step colder plugs, walbro, and Hallman MBC. Here's his new plot:

And here's his old plot for comparison:

You can really see how the car now not only has more mid range torque, but also pulls much better all the way to redline. Its always nice when you can actually get more power by switching to stock parts ;).

This is my car. Thank you ED for a great tune. Looking forward to seeing you in Reno again.

A couple of you have now claimed a dyno plot. If you want them added to the official Dyno results thread, you need to post the info in that thread.
