I got a call a little while ago, it went like this...

Me: What Up?

Pete: Not much, hey did you notice anything wrong with the battery in Tim's (Libila) L, when you checked it out?

Me: Yeah, as I explained in the PM I sent him, the negative cable has been rigged and is grounding out on the inner fender. I told him he needs to replace it.

Pete: Yeah....

Me: Why?

Pete: It just caught fire.

Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

The car's apparently okay... I guess it didn't *actually* catch fire, but shorted out pretty well, and shut down.

You've got to love people's ideas of "fixing" things...

I actually fixed it this morning, meaning I replaced to cable from the starter to the positive terminal and properly hooked up the fuse box. Oh yeah, and I got a battery tie down...

It's auto-x ready!
