There is definitely an option to turn off the cut. I believe it's called brake assist or something like that...

doubleurx 2009-10-16 08:01 PM

So when are we all gonna play some PS3 online and setup an SECCS clan?

100_Percent_Juice 2009-10-16 09:09 PM

haha. The word clan just brought back some seriously old memories. I was in a clan way back when Aliens vs. Predator came out. Good times.

doubleurx 2009-10-16 09:39 PM

Warhawk is hilarious with the clans! I'm not quite sure how the SECCSORG.Clan would be received, but I am sure there would be some funny times.

It would be cool if we could have gangsta clans for say Dirt2.

4wheel_seccs, all_wheel_seccs'n, seccs_bots
now these are some great clan names

Brutal Legend should finally be here for me today. I can't wait to play it.

sybir 2009-10-27 10:49 AM

The demo was pretty cool - I heard the game kind of tapered out, though. I'll be curious to get your feedback on it and the more RPG-ish elements.

Anyone getting DJ Hero?

cody 2009-10-27 01:20 PM

You should get it and invite me over.

I'll be wearing a head band a bunch of glowsticks!

sperry 2009-10-27 02:01 PM

I kinda want DJ Hero, but I don't want to have to buy more hardware to play it. From the looks of it, the regular controller could have been used just fine to play the game. :unamused:

Kevin M 2009-10-27 02:59 PM

Ironic coming from a guy who won't play driving sims without a wheel.

Nick Koan 2009-10-27 03:02 PM

Guitar Hero could be done with the controller too, but it wouldn't be as much fun.

As for DJ Hero, I can't say I'm impressed with what I've seen. But, I thought the same thing about Guitar Hero, so maybe its one I need to play first before I pass judgment on it.

Not really ironic. A driving game is 100 time as fun as a XYZ hero game to me. I don't want to drop $100 on a fake DJ turntable since it's not going to add to the enjoyment for me as much as a $300 wheel does for sim racing. Especially since I've got Rock Band already and I hardly every play it anymore. I don't want to waste $100 on the DJ stuff too and not play that 6 months from now as well. I *always* go back to driving games even when I take a hiatus.

The DJ hero controller could be replicated with correct use of the thumb sticks on the normal controllers and you'd have virtually the same hand motions.

It's a lot harder to replicate the guitar and especially drums for the rock games on a regular controller.

The game sounded boring with the hardware and then you just buried it with the "can't I play this game with the controller" comment. I predict this game with fall on its face. What's the next game, virtual drink mixer?

I just like the idea of Rock Band with songs from the musical genre I like most.

Just wait for Industrial Hero when they give you two pipes and a metal trash can as the controller.

I've got those in my garage already. But I bet they won't license 3rd party controllers. :unamused:

Holy crap, win.

Is no one else here playing Forza 3 yet? If you're not, you should be.

I grabbed it last night and played for about 90 minutes. So far I think it's mildly better than Forza 2... but Forza 2 was a pretty damn good game... so I'm happy... except for the fact that I'll probably never go back to finish playing Forza 2.

We should get some online races going... or at least some time trials.

Its AMAZING!! The sound is by far my favorite part. Nothing like the whine of a supercharger on a GT500 Mustang in surround sound lol

Bob Danger 2009-10-29 01:50 PM

I rolled my Fiat 500 Abarth on Sebring twice last night. Still managed to pull off a victory.
