Damn Dean is still around! Long time no see to all of ya's. Actually I was at a garage sale just up a couple houses from Dean, saw the old STI and the Audi and the rest of his visible toys.

Miss you guys and my Subaru, but the new kid n law has a 02 Bug Eye so at least one is still in the family. I do drive my 92 F250 1 ton like its a WRX though.

Meet day is upon us!!! I'm in if anybody wants. Not sure when Scott is moving, but might be one of his last ones...

This will be my last meet... unfortunately, I can't make it. Lisa and I have a flight to catch at 6:45 for a house hunting trip in Portland, so I can't make it. :(

There just don't seem to be enough days left before we move to get in all the things we'd like to do. We're hoping to put together a little BBQ or something before we go to say goodbye to our friends, but things are so hectic, we haven't been able to pin down a date yet, and we're quickly running out of days! :(

I am in if other people want to show up. Too bad you can't make it Scott, but please apprise if a BBQ time works out. Totally understand how hectic it can be once you pull the trigger on some life changes though.

I'd love to guys, Cory's place would be a big help for me, but the bigger problem is the whole first week of the month. Work is always insane for the first week so it's hard to get away.

Okay, super short notice because our schedule never solidified until yesterday, but we're planning on grabbing pizza at LampPost Pizza on Steamboat Pkwy in South Reno at 6:30 tomorrow (Thurs 8/20) night.

Turns out we have to leave about 5 days sooner than we originally planned, so this is pretty much the only time we'll have to say goodbye to friends. It'd be awesome if SECCS folks that are free can come out and hang out one last time, I'd love to see everyone!

Like I said, shit's hectic... the trailer hitch for Lisa's RDX got delayed during shipping. Ordered it Amazon Prime to be here on Wednesday (back when we were expecting to leave next Wed instead of this Sun). Delay meant it showed up today... with no mounting hardware. They didn't even box it, just taped the back of bolts to the bar, and sure enough it fell off.

Lisa lost it and called Amazon. After her tirade, they refunded it hitch to us fully, gave us an extra month of Prime for free for the delay, and we don't have to ship it back. They told her "we'll give you a one time exemption on returning the item" and she was like "hell no you're not giving us a 'one-time exemption', if you screw me again like this I expect you to make it right then too"... and they agreed. :lol:

So anyway, I dug through my giant bin of Subaru bolts and found 4 high-grade M12 bolts that matched the threading in the RDX and installed the hitch. I had to use mixed metals for the washers, lock-washers, and bolts, but I think everything is good to go. At least I was able to torque things down to the required 114 ft-lbs.

Towing a trailer in what's essentially a lifted Honda Accord is a weird feeling... I'm used to towing 4000 lbs behind my truck. A tow rating of only 1500 lbs is a little sketchy... but I hear it's to keep the gearbox from grenading, not because the car can't control/stop the weight of a trailer.

So.....I'd like to hear from Cory and Matt and see which times/locations would work for them the best. We don't have to do all meets at the same place, we could alternate etc. Sure would be nice to get some of the old guard back in the mix.

Any plans for the evening? Anyone in?
