Ironically enough, my times kept getting better, as one side got positive.

Sometimes it's as simple as hitting the uprights with a grinder or a file to rough it up and then torquing the snot out of the bolts.

KSpeed has a solution to this. Star washers basically.

MPREZIV 2012-05-14 07:02 AM

Threw one of those toothed washers on each top bolt last week. May have to take things apart and clean up the area, then re-torque.

Kevin M 2012-05-14 07:20 AM

Just weld it.

Thinking 05 STi lat links (lower noise), max the camber positive on the struts, set camber on plates. I'm blowing hem out positive, hopefully that'll help minimize issues.

You could probably have some half-moon shaped aluminium inserts cut on a water jet for a few bucks. That should be a ton cheaper than lateral links.

I want to quiet down the rear end anyway, so would like to go later STi for aluminum, but with a bushing swap. The Kaminari/RC links are awesome but loud.

Kevin M 2012-05-15 09:21 PM

I have poly-bushed Whiteline lateral links. Interested in a trade?

I don't think I am far enough below the wear bars. I might have to get them shaved :P

MattR 2012-06-23 04:13 PM

I'm going to go ahead and say that the MINI likes it's new 235-40 shoes...

rory_a 2012-06-23 10:35 PM

I'm hoping my rear camber bolt holds through tomorrow. Softened up my struts, and rear sway so hopefully my suspension decides to actually suspend now. Might be going back to stock rear sway if I can't get this thing to grip. So fricking loose.

It's pretty funny when coming 3rd in PAX counts as a drop

Kevin M 2012-07-15 07:52 PM

And still dropping a 2nd too.

MikeK 2012-08-04 06:25 PM

Anybody have results for me? I haven't gotten anything yet.

k-dogg39 2012-08-04 09:04 PM

I don't think anyone had a thumb drive.

Kevin M 2012-08-04 09:22 PM

Nope, no thumb drives. I already put one in the car for tomorrow.

MikeK 2012-08-05 05:40 PM

Round 8 and 9 results are up.

It looks like the mini is the cheater car of choice these days! :) Well done, Matt.

Cory, nice times!
