We could probably do zipped and non zipped right? The design doesn't deal with the zipper so it seems like it would print fine on both styles.

It's ideas like that that make Scott and Baby Jebus cry and ban people.

k-dogg39 2007-10-05 08:36 AM

I would take a couple as well!

sperry 2007-10-05 10:34 AM

Guys... this is the 2006 order thread. Posting "I want one" in here will get you exactly squat. :P Stay tuned for a stickied '07 thread.

Hurry up!!!!

Double Phister 2007-10-05 01:32 PM

wanted to get my opinion in the wrong thread before it's too late.

No zippers. I like the pass through pocket. Plus zippers leak heat.

The dark red SECCS hoodies where of much higher quality than the blue SRiC ones. Plus SRiC ones also had cheap hoodie strings. Dark Colors of the same material would be sweet. If they run small then just let people know so they can request a larger size.

sperry 2007-10-05 02:27 PM

Dan, I'm apt to agree... the quality of the red sweaters was *excellent*, and I'd like to go with that brand, but with some larger sizes. But I'm also leaning towards the zippers, just 'cause we've never done one. I've got 8 or so Subaru hoodies already... a zippered deal would be a nice change of pace.

The nicest thing about the zippers is that you don't have to get choked out by the neck (the worst part about those red ones being too small), just don't zip it up all the way.

tysonK 2007-10-05 02:58 PM

I think a zipper one would be just trendy enough for pete, johnny, and the like to sport them on the unr campus.

AtomicLabMonkey 2007-10-05 02:58 PM

Zippers are teh suck.

But... but... they allow menfolk to pee standing up! And that, is pretty awesome IMO.

AtomicLabMonkey 2007-10-05 06:46 PM

You've got a point there.

That's because he left his zipper down.

I just prefer to put sweaters on like jackets rather than have to pull them on and off over my head. My hair picks up static from pullovers really easily and I end up looking like a blond Yahoo Serious.

tysonK 2007-10-05 07:52 PM

I don't care either way.

Personal inconvenience fosters my self-deprecating attitude.

zpeed 2007-10-05 08:05 PM

I want one too but afraid that black will fade to ugly gray. What logo are we talking about? I kind of miss the whole thing.

I think the tentative plan is do last year's design on a darker color sweatshirt. Look at the first post in this thread to see the artwork.

Bob Danger 2007-10-06 03:40 PM

I'd like to see a blue, or maybe even a BRG. Any color besides black, or red.

And +1 for zipper idea.

sybir 2007-10-08 10:30 AM

One more vote for no zippers, in dark blue; dark green would be cool too.

MPREZIV 2007-10-08 11:07 AM

I say Brittish Racing Green with Bob. That'd be slick.

No zippers tho...

MattR 2007-10-08 11:39 AM

Yes Dark Green would be cool.

I remember putting in for BRG as my vote for colour a long time ago. Nice to see it's back.:)

So much for this post... :P

NevadaSTi 2007-10-08 01:13 PM

I like the BRG also. Since there is a bunch of peeps asking for zippers and zipper-less. Can we do both as an option?

I don't see why not. It seems about half and half as far as preferences go.

Yeah, I can't decide which I'd get.

Probably one of each.

I'll create the thread as soon as I have info from the printers.

And since it's such a phenomenal pain in the ass to reach a consensus in threads like these without basically custom printing something per-person, the thread will contain the color, type, brand, and design of the sweater.

Feel free to continue debating in last year's thread, but realize that the hoodie will be what it will be... if you don't like it, we're not forcing anyone to buy one. I don't want to have to deal with people getting butt-hurt over their wishes getting ignored, so I'm just going to ignore everyone and do my best to put together a cool hoodie. :P I figure after 5 years of putting these together and selling more and more each year, we're doing something right.

Pssh, what do you know.

Jesubi11 2007-10-08 03:01 PM

Word!

NevadaSTi 2007-10-08 03:07 PM

Can we have a vote?

tysonK 2007-10-08 03:09 PM

As far as fashion goes, I do trust Scott.

Bob Danger 2007-10-08 04:41 PM

Considering it's Scott's intellectual property, I'd say he's Judge Judy, and executioner on all matters in regards to sweaters and stickers. So I say, I'll be happy with what ever you decide.

No zippers, you gaylord.
