No, you didn't offend me. Its just amazing how far out in right field you are some times and it boggles the mind. Maybe its just a generational gap.

People comment on $4!+ in this thread all the time. Perhaps I was more out of line than I thought. Nick, I apologize I offended you in some way, that was not my intent.

It was also not my intent to disparage what is clearly the greatest video game of all time.

I hope that I am wrong and that video games of this type might actually entice people to take up actual musical instruments and heaven forbid real sports like tennis, golf and bowling, but the track record is not good.

We are now one of if not the fattest, laziest, and lacking in the "arts" counties in the civilized world and at least some of that can be attributed to video games IMHO.

P.S. 100_Percent_Juice watches 'Dancing with the stars"

P.P.S Just kidding man. :)

Next time you get a chance, play Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It's not "the same" as playing a real instrument (i.e. you could totally rule at Guitar Hero and not be able to play a single chord on a real guitar) but it does require a similar skill set of dexterity and rhythm. As far as video games with real-world redeeming value, it's pretty much at the top of the list... which should have been obvious watching that guy playing the eDrums in that movie.

Fun fact, IRL driver Helio Castroneves won "Dancing with the Stars" this year.

(didn't watch it, but my roommate does)

How dare that guy call one of the bravest explorers in the history of humanity (if not *the* bravest... think about what it takes to be one of the first men to fly to another damn planet) a "coward". I'm surprised Buzz had to deck him... anyone else standing nearby should have felt honored to deck that yahoo on Buzz's behalf.

See, that's what I was thinking... I'd have been glad to punch that guy! Than ask Buzz for his autograph on my fist!

Why not get his name tatooed on your knuckles Thug Life style? Then it you would always remember the day you knocked someone the fuck out for the good of society.

When Rednecks get really drunk there are usually two results: Someone gets shot or a crappy car goes off a man made jump. The camera man is as funny as the jump.

That was pretty impressive for backyard engineering. He missed the landing ramp, but I was sure when it started it was going to be an ugly mess of metal at the end and it wasn't.

"How do you spell videos?"

Drum solos that have about a 5% chance of Dean starting a new thread

Though, I think by mentioning that, I just increased the probability by about 33%.

That is probably what they are.

I remember seeing what I thought were hollow wooden percussion instruments that looked like slightly square PacMen heads. I thought that might have been what the sound was coming from. Now that I think about it though, there were few of those of different sizes and they were setup like a drum set sort of.
