I completely agree. When I still had money to go to meets, I was bringing my camera and tripod just hoping that we could get some good turnouts to get a good group photo. Unless someone else wants to take it, I would be completely fine with taking the picture. Just let me know :)

Online we're cliquish and haze the new folks, but for the most part that doesn't translate in-person. New people are generally welcomed at meets (unless they show up looking for a street race :rolleyes: ).

I have a Nikon D80, and a Canon 30D with Speedflashes, Tripods, Remote Shutter Switches, and a few lenses here and there... I got into photography about a year before I found autocross.. :lol:

My wife currently has a Nikon D2x and a Cannon 5D. I really want to get a remote shutter switch. Do you find that you use yours often?

Ooh nice. I bought mine for about $20 for the Nikon, and $35 for the Canon. Since I use the Nikon much more, and I really like to take prolonged exposure pics, I use them about every other day I go shooting. They are also really nice for the rare occasion that you take group photos. Haha.

ebay, should be under $10... Assuming you need a USB one like my Fuji. If it has a threaded shutter button, a classic cable or air one will work and they are even cheaper.
