SupraRexer, you assume that because I drive an 86 I am a drifter; I assure you I am not a drifter. However I do know how to "drift", I started doing touge racing when I was 16 shortly after I bought my first car which was an 88 FC3S (RX7), and drifting was a technique I used. I was quite good at it as well, I put 55,000 miles on that car in the 2 years I had it, without ever leaving the area. I am on my third 86, I had planned on using it as a daily driver but with you being such a bad ass, it makes me want to build a drift car simply to KICK YOUR ASS! I frequently drive a 97 twin turbo Supra, a friend of mine has one that is also an automatic, and I must say that it is incredibly slow off the line. The lag is the worst of any turbo car I’ve ever driven, not to mention the fact that its a tank, and handles like a tuna boat.
You, and everyone who considers themselves a drifter are "ricers". The United States form of drift racing, or the D1, is judged on how sideways you get, and how much smoke your tires make, right? Style over speed, form over function! Is that not the ricer decree? Surly you must realize that drifting is nothing more than a way of showing off. It is not meant to develop any speed.
