DAMN! Where is the :jawdroppingsmilieface: when you need it?

My roommates had to drive to Mammoth this morning to pay off a traffic ticket. One sold his STi, the other has a TC w/summer tires so I volunteered that they could take my car because of all the snow. I knew it was going to snow in the Mammoth area, but not here. Hooray for a 45 minute commute from N Mccarran to Kietzke/S Virginia. Oh yeah, here is the best part. They drove NORTH on 395 to get to Mammoth... yeah they didn't make it.

Matt must be living this...

The loop from McCarran up to Home Depot and K-Mart is a slalom course of stranded cars. I only got 2.1 of them in this picture, but there are 4-5 of them on alternating sides of the road pointing in different directions. Quite interesting as I came blasting up to them this afternoon.

Kind of freaks you out as you are on a one way road and you come up on an oncoming car to your right.

Yeah, they started piling up there late last night...In fact, I had to drive up the curb and around all of them last night...then this morning, the pile grew, that Cadillac was facing perpendicular earlier, good to see they got it straightened out.

I'd keep it. All the snow melted already.

Kunikos 2008-02-25 04:41 PM

I hope I was not the only one to get out and drive in this last storm.

Was that you? I love parking lot drifting, when we get another snow in may we should hook up for some tandem dorifto 8':) s

Yeah. I would love to get some people together and shoot some more video. Its been tricky since reno is finally quick and on the ball with plowing everything. The best place I have found is a corner of the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot. Its better then most places because there are no curbs, no parked cars, and its pretty open.
