PJ's opinions...

Just wondering what others thought of PJ's last Thurs.

My thoughts:

Parking may be impossible if it gets more crowded over the summer.

The food was only OK, and slightly pricey for what we got. Coach's was better IMHO.

The service was OK at best.

I'd rather drive to one of the ends of town to a Bully's, or maybe a Sparky's...

I still think we should try the Sparky's by Matt, but am willing to try anything once.

MattR 2004-05-16 10:08 PM

I liked PJ's a lot. I think we need to give it a try for a while.

Coaches is not an option in my opinion...I think that place sucked...

Sparky's will remain my back up suggestion, but Pj's is my vote for now.

doubleurx 2004-05-16 10:15 PM

Sorry i missed it. I'm even more sorry to hear the bad review of P.J's. I used to love that place! I haven't been there in over a year. It sounds like it has gone down hill??

tysonK 2004-05-16 10:17 PM

coaches sucked!

PJ's was excellent, the fries freakin ruled, and that means a lot to me.

my vote is PJ's until it is utterly impossible to park there.

I though it was cheaper, the soda was only a 1.50, unless that's what they charge us at bullys.

ArthurS 2004-05-16 11:49 PM

I liked PJ's a lot. I think we should give it another shot.

dknv 2004-05-17 02:17 PM

My main concern at PJ's is the parking. Their small lot was (too?) full with the 13 of us there (not all of us bringing a car).

I like the idea of sitting outside in the patio area, but not when it's windy/cold.

qksubi 2004-05-17 09:11 PM

I like PJ's but I am down for any place we wont get hasseled by the man  I like to lioter in parking lots :D

So are we at PJ's again this week? I may be meeting up this week. I say we got dib's on In & Out Burger as soon as it's done! It was cool last week when I met up with the guys out of Vegas.

MattR 2004-05-18 06:56 PM

Good call. Yeah. We'll plan on PJ's this week again...hope to see you there, I'll have stickers.

SlickNick112 2004-05-18 07:18 PM

If I'm not there, I'll meet you at Keystone for some pool.

LetItRev 2004-05-20 04:30 PM

My thoughts are that the place was pretty cool. The owner was very glad to have us there and took the time to make sure we were taken care of. He's also a Laker fan!

As it gets warmer, the outdoor area will be awesome. I fear that we will outgrow the parking lot as more members come to the meets and his Summer business picks up. Too bad.

tysonK 2004-05-20 04:42 PM

yah hopefully it will start warming up outside by september.

Clearly you've never seen an In 'N Out that is less than 6 months old. :P You won't be able to park within a block of it because the drivethrough line is going to snake through the parking lot.

dknv 2004-05-21 02:10 PM

I swear! The last time I was in Fairfield I went there & made the mistake of parking in the back (I now have a ban on eating in the car). I had to wait for about 10 cars to drive an inch an hour, to be able to get out.

tysonK 2004-05-21 02:17 PM

When the IN n OUT opens here, I think we can all agree that it's going to an absolute mad-house for at least the first year. :x

I'm still going to wait in line every chance I get.

When the In-N-Out opened in San Ramon, the drive thru line litterally went out of the parking lot, down the street, up the freeway exit on down the right lane of 680.

To be honest, I-N-O burgers are good, but not much better than other places. Hit up an A&W burger, they taste like 90% the same to me!

tysonK 2004-05-21 02:24 PM

that last 10% is what really matters to me.

We used to have Solano County meets there, in the parking lot of the Harley dealer (who has since moved to Vacaville). We knew better than to go past the drive through entrance. :P

I used to have to brave the line at the Pleasanton In N Out on a regular basis. Frequently it was wrapped completely around the parking lot out to the street. At least the Fairfield one is in a cul-de-sac that has little traffic other than the drivethrough.

ArthurS 2004-05-21 02:48 PM

Damn....anytime I go to the Sac or Auburn In and Out, its never that packed. I mean, its still one of the most busy fast food places I have ever been in, but I thought it was fairly quick.

AtomicLabMonkey 2004-05-21 02:59 PM

WTF is it with the packed In & Out's? I've never thought their fries were that good...

ArthurS 2004-05-21 03:13 PM

I agree with you on the fries. They are crap.

Dean 2004-05-21 03:16 PM

Order them well done! The are good normally, but even better well done...

You are just used to the sugar soaked Mickey D's ones.. :D

In-N-Out is requires a sophisticated Palet... :P
