Hawaii: for 5 days

I get there at 10:20am and Mike picks me up at the airport. We head to the beach. I spend a lot of my first 2 days on Waikiki Beach. It's world famous and there is lots to do. These first pics are pretty weak compared to the stuff I get to see a little later. With walks on North Shore beaches, and hikes up hills next to the ocean, it gets better.

Day 1:

The view from the house!

Day 5

Kevin M 2006-06-24 10:37 PM

Jeez, why does everybody but me have a better option than autocross this weekend? I've added you to the list of People That Currently Suck. :p

Libila 2006-06-25 12:12 AM

Awesome! Less pictures of flowers and more pictures of women please.

Nick Koan 2006-06-25 05:30 AM

Nice pics dude!

sp00ln 2006-06-25 10:46 AM

As I was scrolling down, when I went from picture 14 to 15 I started laughing.

Sounds like a blast man.

Hey, I had to work on Saturday and didn't even get to autox both days. :|

Looks like a blast there. :)

Dean 2006-06-25 05:43 PM

OK, maybe what was old is new again, but I swear my grandfather, god rest his soul, owned plaid tourist shorts like you had on at Waimea, and my mom has that exact hat. :)

Sorry man, looks way to beautiful, and fun to let you off with a "Nice Pics Dude!"

Nice B-Day present, Grandpa! :D

sperry 2006-06-25 06:39 PM

Dean hasn't figured out that fashion works in cycles. What's old is new again. Which means in about 10 or 15 years, the stuff he wears will be chic again!

Ahh, you are forgetting, there are always some things that never make their way back in to the cycle...that may be one if them...*crosses fingers

Gosh, I must not have used almost those exact words in my post...

Just because something in style doesn't make it right. Unless you are golfing, or playing bagpipes, plaid is just wrong IMHO. :P

And just to make everyone ill, I am currently wearing shorts that only cover 2/3rds of my thighs...

and nothing else... :P

Nick Koan 2006-06-25 07:36 PM

Plaid rules. Get with the program.

sperry 2006-06-25 07:44 PM

Gross.

Anyway... I think Tyson is probably one of the regularly best dressed people in the club. Just 'cause you don't think it's fashionable doesn't mean it's not.

Besides, plaid has its uses:

Point taken.. Fixed..

The top 2/3rds I hope

tysonK 2006-06-25 08:43 PM

I bought those just so I could have plaid tourist shorts. I didn't see any other twentysomethings wearing them, I'm setting the fucking tone.

I was total tourist while I was there. Paid for my surf lessons. Rented my snorkel gear. Walked up and down the beach. Camera in hand the whole time. I loved it.

You have NOT even seen the car I rented!!!!!!!!!!!

tysonK 2006-06-25 08:48 PM

sweet! and it's even an easy to drive automatic.

MPREZIV 2006-06-26 06:44 AM

sperry 2006-06-26 07:09 AM
