End of Winter BBQ/ Meet...Sunday Feb 29
 

Okay, so maybe the "End of Winter" tag is a bit of wishful thinking, but lets get the whole crew together this weekend for a BBQ, and perhaps some beers, videos and go karts :twisted:

In addition, we have a lot of server costs coming due soon, and to be honest, sweatshirt and sticker sales have helped, but we are still in need of some donation. So, I'll provide the food, and place to party, and you guys can donate whatever you feel comfortable with to help the club with our server costs. $20 would be great, but I know different people value the site in different ways, so any donation amount will be appreciated. Sound Good?

EDIT: Opps, just realized that it might be hard to convince them to come up on a Saturday. People have tried many times to move or reschedule the meet, and it never has worked.

Holy crap! I thought Vegas was this weekend... I guess those guys are just too lazy to race 3 weekends in a row. :lol:

But if you move it to Sunday, some of us get twice the meetage and twice the karting. ;) And we really really really are trying to avoid setting precedent for canceling/moving meets. That always results in death for that meet. So far we've been successful.

I'm not opposed unless it means that local SECCS members can't make it... what's everyone else think?

The weather is going to be pretty shitty, according to the weatherman. Does this matter? Go Karts may not happen, but we can still BBQ

Ben is going to tell Nat to come by too. Britten has yet to tell me if he is or not.

I wish weather prediction was a little better.... 3 days ago there was only a 10% chance of rain this weekend.

I'm in for either day.

It's gogin to be tough to get any car fix though as Speed channel is pretty sparse on both days. TLC comes through Sunday with "Sports Collisions and Crackups" and we could put Sweden WRC or MICHELIN RACE OF CHAMPIONS Canary Islands - 2003 on for background from tape.

As of today, Sunday looks better as a travel day, and for go Karts...

because I dont know which day we will have this I'm open for either :lol:

I'm thinking Sunday's a little better weather-wise, plus the Sac guys could come out. Go Karts might not happen... but I'm down to at least give 'em a shot.

Plus, I gotta work this weekend, and I'd rather work Saturday than Sunday. So, my vote is to move it to Sunday... anyone else? Let's get this finalized today so we can let people at the meet tomorrow know for sure when/where this will take place.

Also, this snowstorm is hitting pretty hard in Tahoe, and isn't supposed to let up till Friday. I may forego the weekly meet (which I was originally planning on coming to), and just come to the BBQ (sunday looks clear enough, though). It all depends on weather. My tires are a little too worn to drive to Reno in the middle of a snowstorm.

Sorry, I have to give you a hard time... You have an AWD car at Tahoe in the winter with marginal tires... What is wrong with this picture?

Yeah I know, its funny. I have AWD, I knew I was moving to Tahoe for the winter, but didn't get better tires. I was hoping that the stock RE92s would last through the whole winter, but they are definitely wearing thin right now. I should just go out and get better tires, but I'm being stubborn in that "I don't want to spend all that money *now*" kind of way.

I'm definitely in for Sunday. Nate/Scott/Aaron, you guys want to ride up with me?

Like hell I wanna ride in an RS all the way up to Reno.....
