Vegas Newbie

I'm from www.Flat4LV.com , and I've been check out your guys site. Very cool site. We should do some kind of Nevada Subaru meet sometime. Both the clubs could meet up somewhere for a big BBQ or something! 8)
Anyway, I'm just saying hi!

MattR 2004-03-01 08:08 PM

Sweet Man, welcome aboard. You're our first Southerner!

You know, if you're into autocross, theres the old SCCA North South Challenge in Hawthorne each year, that would be ideal. It just so happens a few of us are planning the course this year too.

The LVS and Reno SCCA regions square off annually, it's a blast.

Anyway, welcome again, enjoy.

Matt

LVSUBARU 2004-03-01 08:10 PM

I've never been called a "southerner"

A autoX meet would be cool! I'm mostly into rallyX, but there are some guys who like to autoX "down here".

Do you guys do alot of rallyX?

We are trying to get a program started, it takes a lot of work. I see that you found the thread in the motorsports forum. I am hoping that the rally cross is up and running by Fall 04.

LVSUBARU 2004-03-01 08:21 PM

What kind of locations do you guys have for rallyX? We have acouple dry lakebeds, and we have rally sprints on dirt roads.
I just saw that you guys meet up every Thursday. So do we!

MattR 2004-03-01 08:23 PM

We are hoping to convert an old motocross track into an autocross track. It is part of a large motorsports complex here called Reno Fernley Raceway, and the owner is very interested in helping us get off the ground. It should be a great site, it just needs a lot of work.

MattR 2004-03-01 09:12 PM

Yeah, I'm pretty sure 160 is less than the 2700 miles between Brooklyn and Reno.

BADBORA 2004-03-08 02:28 PM

STIwish 2004-03-08 04:45 PM

Hey, I can't help that the question was "Who is the farthest away from Reno (full time living)? As far as members go?" Technically he lives there full time, and is a member of the board, active or no.

LVSUBARU 2004-03-08 07:09 PM

ArthurS 2004-03-08 07:15 PM

Well, it takes about 6 hours to drive, right... so, at the average speed of 115mph, it must be about 690 miles.

LVSUBARU 2004-03-08 07:20 PM
