Need Swap soon!

Hey guys. I may have a buyer for my car, so I will need to do a swap with someone for the Cusco rear sway for a stock bar. Looking for 80$ + Swap. Bar is in great condition.
22mm adjustable 3-way.

I don't remember, is the bar wagon specific? Otherwise you should hit up MikeK, he was complaining about his car pushing.

BTW: What happened to your stock bar?

ArthurS 2004-05-10 09:27 AM

Gave it to Matt when he traded in his wagon.

No it is not specific. Should fit wagon and sedan the same.

The only issue, if you swap it w/ a Sedan you'll have a heavier sedan bar on the wagon when you trade it in.

ArthurS 2004-05-10 09:35 AM

No biggy...actually, dont a lot of people in wagons swap for sedan's anyway?

Yep, just noting that there will be a difference. How much would it suck for the new owner to get the car, then buy a sedan bar off someone...

ArthurS 2004-05-10 09:44 AM

I would let him know for sure...

SlickNick112 2004-05-10 12:49 PM

sway?

Is your sway bar interchangable with my 99 RS? I would be interested if it is. Let me know.

I don't remember if the bars swap across (I don't think they do :() however, note that a rear swaybar will bump you out of Stock classes and into STS.

I am not sure, but I would guess it isn't since Cusco makes one that for the RS that is 21mm.

SlickNick112 2004-05-10 01:47 PM

fair enough, I'll just have to find one on my own. I'm ok with jumping classes.

Kevin M 2004-05-10 02:41 PM

Nick's sway bar will fit, but it's only 13mm. If you sell your car to a little old lady or something, it's no big deal. Actually, it probably isn't a big deal at all- anybody who really cares about the handling would replace the stock 17mm bar anyway. :P

SlickNick112 2004-05-10 02:46 PM

Mine will fit Arthurs........but his won't fit mine? Is that right? Let me know.

Actually, it sounds like the sway bars will swap between pre-bugeye RS and WRX... I wasn't sure if they were the same length.

But if BAN SUVS says so, then it's so.... at least most of the time. :P

Kevin M 2004-05-10 03:07 PM

I was using a WRX 20mm bar before I switched to a Whiteline adjustable WRX bar. They work, you can count on it. :)

SlickNick112 2004-05-10 05:29 PM

How long would a swap take to complete? Total time taking mine off and installing Art's sway. How soon do you need the stock sway?

tysonK 2004-05-10 05:32 PM

Nick you and Heidi need this sway bar.

You 2 are crazy!

Well, the bar will make it more tail happy, I should know, it was originally on the white wagon. Its a nice sway bar though, definately a good mod.

BTW, I have some Perrin Endlinks for sale, if anyone wants them.
