I wouldn't have ever gotten an XBox if it wasn't for the recent price drop to $150 and the fact that Rally Sport Challenge 2 RULES! :)

I changed the oil and bled the brakes. The F1 race replay actually took more time away from the alignment than the XBOX. :twisted:

(BTW: Monaco was AWESOME! Best F1 race I've seen in years!)

They (microshits) charged my credit card $59.99 49.99 for 1 year of xbox live and 9.99 for a xbox live magazine dont for get to cancel or not just a reminder :shock: :evil:

$50 for a year isn't that bad really. If you use the service for 5 hours a week, that comes out to like $.20 an hour. Seems worth it to me, although charging you for the magazine is pretty screwy.

Yeah, I'm not stressing it $50 for a year isn't too bad... playing RSC2 online is a blast, even if I only do it once a week or so.

Scott if you call micrsoft to tell them you want to cancel x-live they will send you a free game they have about 8 to choose from we got project gotham2 live. Just a thought if you are going to keep it call them and tell them you want to cancel the temp membership and they will brib you with a game to stay :twisted:

BTW: I was on Live! last night from 11:30 to mignight (give or take). I tried to invite you to my game a few times, but it just said you were "idle".

I dont remember call they will tell you we got our game today and I called to cancel about week ago :shock:

I think you have to buy one, unless you bought the starter pack deal. They are $20-$30 IIRC.

I called them the said no free head set anymore that was a prmo they during christmas it ended in jan. :x

So, lemme get this straight... their "free trial" gives me a 2 month trial period, then I get charged $50 for a year of service, and have to pay $25 for a headset.

Whereas the "starter kit" costs $65, and comes with a year of service and and a headset.

i.e. the "free trial" actually costs me $10. :x

also, did you get 2 months free + 1 year, or was it just 2 months free + the rest of a year contract BS?

Good question.. I just assumed that I got 2 months to cancel w/o paying, but my account date started the day I signed up. So it's that BS.

I assumed I was getting a headset once I started paying, which made the deal useful. :x

Wait... people bought the XBox360? ...and there are games on it!? When did this happen?

I had it bought for me, if that makes a difference. I think now that people have almost forgotten about their launch disaster they might consider getting one over the other alternatives.

As for the games... I think there are like 20 total, and only 3 or 4 are worth buying, a couple few worth renting. Just not much to choose from yet. Which is dumb because it's been out for a while.

Rumor has it the 360's price is going to drop to like $299 soon, which makes it almost tollerable to purchase... assuming some friggen games ever come out.

There are some pretty cool looking games on the horizon. There are a few good games that are actually getting pretty good reviews on their own merit (instead of the "its pretty good for right now" metric). Dead Rising and Chromehounds are the two I hear about a lot, and a lot of people consider them almost good enough to buy the system for, but I'm not entirely convinced just yet.

Dead Rising is fun, and pretty. I've heard from friends that Chromehounds is only worth a rental. But I have yet to decide for myself.

Yeah, I dunno. I'm just going off of internet buzz since I haven't bought a 360 yet. Chromehounds is supposed to be good if you like to get into the online play and do the whole clan thing. Otherwise, I've heard the single player is pretty short.

I read a few reviews on it. The one thing they all mentioned was that it was slow in between playing. Like load times and such. They also said that this game will appeal to people who like customizable stuffs because there is A LOT you can do to your robit. I'll prob rent it this weekend or something and let you know what my thoughts are.

Chromehounds is alright. Think I may buy it. Got a chance to play it on an HD at Best Buy and damn my tv sucks!
