George Bush Admission Ticket
Anyone want this? I have 1 ticket to see George Bush for Thursday October 14, 2004. Doors open at 10:00am.

Meh...I just get these things with the business. I don't really care for Bush or Kerry.
|
I'm tempted, but I'd be afraid I'd get thrown out. :P

I just called the GOP office on South Meadows, 851-2467.
They have "lots" of tickets to give away yet. They will be there until 11pm tonight. I am going over there. Does anyone want tickets? It is quite an experience to see a "show" of this scope. The security is amazing. Chime in and I'll get as many tickets as they'll give me. Could this be a Mini Meet to see the prez? |

<--- green party If you guys wanna make a meet out of it, I'm down. |
This is Bush Sr., isn't it?
|
Nope, it's Dub-ya
I got an extra ticket if someone wants it. Parking will be tight. A shuttle service will be provided from the Silver Legacy garage, and the El Dorado parking garage. Service will begin at 9am and continue until 12:30pm. Shuttle service will resume immediately following the event. Photo ID is a must for the security checkpoint. Prohibited items include Food/Drink (There will be stuff available at the park, for a fee), Weapons, Umbrellas, Video Cameras, and Sinage/Placards. |
You guys should take the seccs banner and set it up, get some national exposure :P
|
So how did the Republo-fest go?

Just snapped this a few minutes ago...
|
Does that mean it is over?
|
Nope, it just landed.
|
So it hasn't even started?
Damn...everyone is going to be out all day from the office then. |
I thought it was over at 12:30?

They say 10am but don't show up till noon. That way at about 11:30 all the terrorists are bored and just give up and go hang out at the Atlantis instead of trying to stinger-missle AF1. |

It was friggen awesome! I had a great time. I had general "standing" tickets. Before the pres came out, some of the barriers were dropped. My family and I got this close to Dubya. WOW! It really was inspiring.

...not trying to hate (I'm a registered Republican even!), it's just that when I see him on TV I have to change the channel for fear I'm going to get stoopideer. |

In this shot, you can see GW shaking hands in the crowds. Note the nice men standing by to ensure you didn't do anything else! There were SWARMS of Secret Service there, both obvious and more undercover. A guy standing next to me for a while, built like a brick wall, was obviously planted in the audience to head off idiots. (I noticed his ear monitor, a less visible version than the others).

Awesome public speaker. He cracked jokes about his speech etc. He really does a great job considering he is a businessman turn politician vs. a lawyer turn politician.
He joked about his opponent and that the american people "Will flush the Johns!" It was hilarious! He also stated in an era where frivilous lawsuits are driving up health care costs, Kerry chooses a trial lawyer for a running mate. He had us in stitches. It was a great afternoon. Particularly amusing were the "Protest-Tards" that "greeted" us as we left the Park. Here is a shot of them. |
Sweet Man! Good pics, I wish I could have gone today, that would have been interesting..
