Anyone want to trade wheels?
 

I've got MY00 RS silver six spokes on my car right now. They have bald RE92s on them. If you want to trade REX rims with decent RE92s I'd want $100, without tires $150.

Why do you want to go from 7" wide rims to 6.5" wide rims!? Plus the RS rims look better!! Man, you're tempting me... if they were the goldies, it'd be a done deal.... hrmmmm..

Well I'd like the extra cash to spend elsewhere. I just want to paint them bronze or black anyway and I still have the gold rims. Let me know what you decide. They are in decent shape, a little curb rash.

I'm checking into getting some powder coating cheap... if that pans out and I can get them powder coated gold for relatively cheap, I'm down to make the trade. No tires, since I'll be keeping my Blizzaks for the RS rims.

Got any pics of the curb rash? I'm wondering if it's something I can fix with my dremel at home or if I'll need to have a shop clean them up.

You sure you don't wanna trade the gold rims?... hehehe

Wow, they look like their in pretty good condition! Might even be better than the rash on my stockers! I hit a curb in the snow last winter, so one of my stock rims has a little rash on one of the spokes... I'll get some pictures tonight for ya.

My only concern is in Rim #3, it looks like the wheel might be a little out of round, but I can't tell if that's just an illusion 'cause of the rash... You didn't hit any big pot holes or anything right?

Are you back in Reno these days? I can throw my stockers on for the Thursday meet, and we can check out each other's rims.

I'm back in Tahoe. These aren't my stock rims, I got them from a friend. I drove all the way from MI on them and had no problems so I doubt any of them are out of round. I'll try to make it to the thurs meet.

Oh, and looking at the compressed images in my browser, it's adding some wierd effects to the rims... make sure to check the full resolution images in the gallery.

Alright Scott if you want to buy them outright for $400 we can do that instead.

Why must you temp me so!!! I really dig the older stock RS rims, but I don't want to drop cash on a 4th set of rims unless I can get a buyer for my stockers. I also don't want you to sit on your rims for me if you can find someone else to trade with while I find a buyer, so I'll grind my teeth and pass... :x

Someday I will find a set of gold RS rims!!!! :twisted:

Well the thing is I'm an impulse buyer and bought some 17s. :lol: I'm picking them up probably friday. I can wait if you want, doesn't bother me any.

Nice!! You sound like me.... buying stuff on impulse! Well, I'll ask around at work. Right after I got my 18's, someone with an OBS in the parking lot asked if I wanted to sell my WRX stockers, but I said no cuz they were for my snow tires. Maybe that guy's still interested... if I can remember who it was... :lol:

That cool, JC wasn't down with my rims, so he might trade with you since I think your rims are in better condition. But since he went and got some 17's, he may just be looking to sell the RS stockers.

Well if the deal on the 17s falls through, I'll trade, but I doubt it will. How much were you thinking? You shouldn't have too much trouble getting $250 for your stock rims, then just add the $150 and you have $400.

I dont if I can do it till I get my cash back from phil when I said I wanted them it was after I talked to phil in AZ. He said he would take care of the problem now from his last post it sounds like he being shady so I dont know whats going on yet but I do want the wheels. :cry:

Hey if you give me $400, I can probably wait. The tires on the wheels I'm buying supposedly have good tread as long as they do it's no problem. You should throw up a post on NASIOC seeing if someone will buy your rims for $250. Hell if you ship them you could probably get $300 and have to make up an even smaller difference.
