Just bring it back and get it fixed.

That reminds me the SVX is pulling right as well, and I had Pat at Big-O do it. I should bring mine back too.

Kevin M 2004-12-15 11:36 AM

Did you go to the one on Mae Anne by our house and ask for the guy that does custom alignments? Either way, I'd just ask for a refund and take it somehwere else with a laser alignment rack.

I'm not sure who the guy is that we're supposed to go to. I haven't had one done here yet. That's crap that it took you so long. When I worked at Vishnu, I was blessed to have a good shop in the building behind us. Took him about 45 minutes to get my track alignment done. You wanna drive to Pleasanton for a good alignment?

AtomicLabMonkey 2004-12-15 02:22 PM

This thread has a severe grammar deficiency.

Kevin M 2004-12-15 02:39 PM

That could be a comment on ANY thread around here. :P

qksubi 2004-12-15 03:39 PM

I was kiddin amn because I waved like a dumbass 2 days in a row and i was left hangin twice I think the guy at Bigo think I like to randomlly wave at subi drivers that I dont know

MattR 2004-12-15 03:54 PM

Big O has been fine for me, I've used them for tons of shit...

You must be mad because I can barely read what you're typing  Jesus.

Did you call them? They should make it right. If the thing Drives like shit, something is not right. It likely has too much tow in...

however, remember...before you were driving around with a lot of tow out, and negative camber and now its probably gone. Also, your tires have likely worn irregularly, since you were running a lot of negative camber and toe out. Now that its all in line, it probably feels really wierd becaus eof that tire wear.

Ah, I see. My commute takes me down Mae Anne. I was on my way too/drom lunch. If I was coming towards McCarran, I'm too busy dodging SUV drivers so I can get into the turn lane. :P I don't see shit if it's not close enough to the roadway to be a potential hazard when I'm driving.

Take it Sid's and make sure Greg, or he does it... They will get it pretty dead on to what you request.

Where is that? Do they have a laser rack? Or just really well trained eyeballs?

Dean 2004-12-15 04:21 PM

4th st. between wells and 395. Sid's alignment and brake.

qksubi 2004-12-15 04:32 PM

I didnt want to piss anyone off (matt). I will say one thing Bigo is friggin busy as hell! the guy doing my car was in the middle of a problem with a brake job on a ford lightning and working on Dodge durango that guy is way over worked! they normally do good work my friend Rob always goes there he was surprised what i had to say! I think that 99.95 was a little steep for an alignment though :?

My last alignment was paired w/ the installation of my snow tires, and it was like $100... I wonder if they raised their prices?

Tell em you want a refund, or you are challenging it on your credit card, and take it to Sid. I hear C&C does a good job as well, but no personal experience.

Ouch, is that the STi price or something? It was around $65 when I went in there in the middle of the year for an alignment

You can probably argue your way out of that.... if they didn't tell you about the deal up front, they should honor the normal price.

Kevin M 2004-12-15 04:59 PM

Well, he could have if he hadn't already paid it...

doubleurx 2004-12-15 05:20 PM

This reminds me of the alignment from hell I had when I went to Vishnu. I was recommended by Vishnu to go to a shop in the same building. It took the guy 3-1/2 hours and it sucked. Nate eyeballed my alignment and it drives perfectly straight with no pull and so far no apparant wear on the tires. I suppose I should get a laser alignment sometime soon, but I also do not have luck with that. Almost always I end up with the steering wheel slightly off.

MattR 2004-12-15 05:21 PM

hahaha That sounds like the guy Kevin was raving about...I guess all alignment guys have their bad days.

Kevin M 2004-12-15 05:28 PM

 Go figure. Was it the young guy or the old guy that did it?

It was the young guy. He just could not get the alignment right. He used two sets of rear camber bolts that pratically gave Nate a hernia trying to remove. After all that time, I made it just in time for rush hour traffic, looked down and saw the steering wheel wasn't straight. If I remember they also charged me over $200. I'm sure it was just a bad day.

$200? That's unpossible! Makes no sense whatsoever. So, apparently, there are no alignment techs on Earth capable of doing the job right every time.

Dean 2004-12-15 06:01 PM

We are here to do your alignment Kevin.... :moon:

Evo Mike 2004-12-15 08:13 PM

man you and me both! i paid 99.99 for my alignment from Pat!.. he told me i needed more boost as well!

BOO 2005-02-28 02:12 PM

Haha! It was the same shop Eric hates...Big-Oh on MaeAnne,,,I would still recommend them, even though Eric claims they screwed up his car...They've always done fine for me.

MattR 2005-02-28 02:17 PM

Alternative would be Sid's on 4th street.

You can swing by my house anytime, I'm "sometimes" home in the evening...Or I can meet you somewhere... You stillhave my cell #, just call me up.

Dean 2005-02-28 02:28 PM

I reccomend Sid. He will set it to exactly the numbers you want, and only occasionally screw up. (Hey, just being honest, every mechanic has an off day, but he will make it right when he does screw up.)

Make sure you mention you are with the Subaru Autocross group... If you mention Debbie's name, you get a good discount, and if you mention me, you pay extra. :(

There is also a discount for cash once he gets to know you, or if you are nice and ask...

dknv 2005-02-28 03:45 PM

btw Sergio, you want to get it aligned before winter's up? (Maybe you're taking a road trip....)

BOO 2005-02-28 06:12 PM

No.. No road Trip... just want it to drive nice is all..

BOO 2005-02-28 06:18 PM

Thanks Matt.. seems like the guys did a good job over at BIG-OH ..
