Favorite 80's rock songs.

So, I listened to hair bands at the bar all night Saturday, and made me think about all the great music that came from the eighties...What are you're favorite 80's or early 90's rock songs...Guilty pleasures so to speak.

1. Poison- Every Rose has it's thorns
2. Guns and Roses- November Rain
3. Def Leppard- Pour some sugar
4. Slaughter- Angels
5. Ozzy- Road to nowhere.

I wasn't really into 80's rock. I listened to 80's pop. Sorry.

Well, 80 pop is okay too, as long as it's Depeche Mode or Duran Duran. or the cure.

kidatari 2005-03-29 03:12 PM

Why can’t you sit still, yeah?
Like gasoline you wanna pump me
And leave me when you get your fill, yeah

Every time I touch you honey you get hot
I want to make love you never stop
Come up for air you push me to the floor
What’s been going on in that head of yours

Chorus:
Unskinny bop
Just blows me away
Unskinny bop, bop
All night and day
Unskinny bop, bop, bop, bop
She just loves to play
Unskinny bop nothin’ more to say

You look at me so funny
Love bite got you acting oh so strange
You got too many bees in your honey
Am I just another word in your page, yeah, yeah

Every time I touch you honey you get hot
I want to make love you never stop
Come up for air you push me to the floor
What’s been going on in that head of yours

Chorus

You’re sayin’ my love won’t do ya
But that ain’t love written on your face
Well honey I can see right through ya
We’ll see whose ridin’ who at the end of the race

Solo

What’s right
What’s wrong
What’s left
What the hell is going on

I was born in the 80's...but didn't listen to much 80's music (as far as I can remember). I hope I don't make anyone feel too old... ;)

P.S. This is my virgin SECCS post.

sti deede 2005-03-29 03:19 PM

I didn't really start listening to music till I was about 8-9. So most of the music I remember is probably ninety's music.
I listened to MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, Paula Abdul, Madonna.

sti deede 2005-03-29 03:20 PM

Hello and welcome to the dark side t-will.

The whole Wish album from the Cure, I still listen to it all the time. That's early 90s though. Same with U2's Achtung Baby. Those 2 albums are in my all time top 5. Violator from Depeche Mode was an awesome 80s album. Pink Floyd's Division Bell, Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever and Into The Great Wide Open, anything from New Order, Joy Division, The Smiths/Morrissey, Midnight Oil, I could go on and on about the 80s and early 90s. GNR's Use Your Illusion 1 & 2, Metallica's Black album. A band called the Killlingtons that no one has probably heard of, they seriously rock.

khail19 2005-03-29 04:33 PM

Oh, and if we're countng early 90s stuff, then the whole grunge thing. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots. I never liked Nirvana though, I don't mind them but I wasn't worshipping Kurt Cobain like everyone else in HS. Oh, and I forgot Radiohead too.
